    Hello.
I have a B450m DS3H V2 and I am trying to install Windows 7 since yesterday without success. I tried Ez Asus, the Gigabyte tool and MSI’s no worked.
Is there any way to be able to install Windows 7 with the motherboard I have?
Well, I hope your help. Thank you very much in advance.
    All the best.

Sounds like USB3 driver problem. (probably stating the obvious)

Well, try installing Win10. If the USB ports then work, it was indeed a problem integrating USB3 into Win7. Otherwise, a hardware or firmware problem...

In Windows 10 and 11 it works all correct.

The usual approach would be to download USB3 drivers from the manufacturer, and then use dism to integrate the drivers into the Win7 install media, by modifying boot.wim and install.wim. I found a file "amd-chipset-drivers_18.10_0813.exe" from Gigabyte that can be opened with 7zip, and it appears that usb drivers are contained therein. These drivers could possibly be extracted and used.

Further details are beyond me. I would just use Win10 ;)

Edit - You may also want to investigate the Simplix-AIO package.

I'm not sure myself, but one should confirm whether the usb2 ports on a modern board are native or just emulated. Because if they are emulated, that means they go to the same controller responsible for the usb3 ports. So yes, you still need a driver for the usb controller on the platform.

I already have it installed, but I am not lucky to start it in UEFI mode. I already turned the disk to GPT, but does not start. Thank you so much.
    All the best.

  11. USB 2.0 ports doesn't mean that you have EHCI (USB 2.0) controller.
Ie. Yes, you have USB 2.0 ports, but your system only sees XHCI (USB 3.0) controller and needs USB3 drivers for it.
