Not sure if this affect W10 Pro activation. After install W7 Ultimate, there are some drivers that did not get installed, like Ethernet, Network, Some Unknown. But I did not manage to install those driver manually since i thought it make no different since W7 already activated, So I just run "gatherosstate" to get GenuineTicket.xml.

In W10 Pro for this laptop, there are few "Unknown" driver that did not get installed automatically. Could all these be the issue starting from W7 to W10 of this laptop?

Everything are updated but W10 Pro still not activated. I will try to reinstall W7 Ult again and this time I will update all Unknown driver and Ethernet/WiFi driver before generating GenuineTicket.xml. Let see this time if W10 Pro activated.

Does it matter if "Secure Boot" disabled/enabled in bios? Currently it's disabled.

I can confirm the GenuineTicket method works with cloning as well. Cloned 10 machines with 7 COAs the other day with a Sysprep'ed image, dropped the GenuineTicket and reboot. Voila, activated. I used another hard drive with a bare 7 image with the SLIC activation to generate the ticket.

Except for 2 machines which gave me 0xC004C003. One activated the next morning but another I had to call in to Microsoft and they activated it with a retail key. Restored the image again and it activated with the generic key.

Now for some of you... maybe combine that with the Daz Loader.

Update: now W10 Pro successful activated. What I did was reinstall W7 Ult and update all drivers so that under Device Manager does not show any unknown or ! Mark. Then I reboot pc. Finally I generate the xml file.

Do a clean W10 a Pro installation. Install a few drivers that I save in usb stick. There are 2 unknown that I cannot install before I do have driver for it and I scare to enable my wifi. But anyhow, I paste xml file to directory, reboot laptop then enable wifi.. W10 Pro activated. Now I can do an online driver search,.. Everything are all good.. Thank you

Since Win10 likes to want to reactivate after hardware changes, would the following scenario work:

    1. clone existing Win7+Daz
    2. do steps from OP to install and activate Win10
    3. change hardware sometime in the future, Win10 wants to reactivate
    4. clone Win10 drive
    5. restore Win7 clone from 1. on new hardware
    6. repeat steps from OP to get new GenuineTicket.xml
    7. restore Win10 from cloned backup in 4.
    8. copy new GenuineTicket.xml over the original one
    9. Win10 activates with new hardware?

    ?

One per computer. But I used the same SLIC activated copy of Windows 7 to generate in each, all of them were the same model.

My guess is yes, until the free Windows 10 offer expires.

Ah, yes, forgot about that. After that, only KMS methods would work?

I have no idea about that, since I have never used those and have no intention to.

    Am I dim perhaps?

I install 8.1 VL, it shows activated, then I upgrade to W10, it shows activated in W10, I then wipe the drive and re-install W10 from scratch... still shows as activated.

Volume licenses are not eligible for the free upgrade as per Microsoft communications.
Sounds like something is happening that shouldn't be happening, however if it does then that would be quite a handy little bug in the system.
