Yes, but images are genuine. SP1 is exact same as you find in svf repo 5 posts above.

    Hi all,

not a technical member here :)

I've been running DAZ loader with Windows 7 for a long time, and want to upgrade to W10 now. However the information on the forum is overwhelming.....
Currently I run W7 Ultimate x64, so I understand I need to upgrade to W10 Pro X64 but just can't figure out where to find that ISO, although I've read all posts and followed the links as mentioned in the OP.
( 2 Download the Windows 10 ISO that's suitable for the upgrade path i.e. Windows 7 Ultimate or Pro will upgrade to Windows 10 Pro )

Any guidance where to find a trustful W10 Pro X64 ISO version is highly appreciated!

Just to be sure, I can just go from W7 and install W7 SP1 without any problems, right? prior to upgrade to W10 following the instructions in this thread?

    Thanks!

    Thanks Enthousiast.

If I understand you right, I need to get the W10 1909 version you refer to and use that to upgrade my W7 version (after installing W7 SP1)?
Is that what you mean by

While you don't necessarily "have" to use version 1909, that is a good idea. Considering the short life cycles it only makes sense to use the most current version.

I've ran into an issue.. To get my 10 Pro license I would usually install 8.1 VL Pro + MS Toolkit, then upgrade via 1511 Win 10 ISO and I would get my HWID then do a fresh install of the latest MSDN Pro iso.. However I've ran into an Issue with a laptop which WON'T recognize any usb devices I plug into it so I cannot upgrade from 8.1 and 7 probably won't even start on a 10th gen intel cpu. What's the next best easiest way to get a HWID?

    1. OP says :
    2. You may try your luck there : Windows 7 Image Updater - SkyLake\KabyLake\CoffeLake\Ryzen Threadripper
( Though that thread officially talks about 6/7/8 & 9th generation Intel processors, you can check there! )

    3. You don't have any USB 2.0 port on the pc ?

    4. You may also try managing without USB. The Win 8.1 should offer a better support for the new hardware.

    5.
I am getting curious : Why you need to upgrade in between ?

    Thanks. ...

Thanks for all the info. Read through a bunch of this thread, but still have a few questions.
    1. Is Win10 activation a 1 time deal, or does the PC subsequently check for activation whenever connected to the internet?
    2. What information is sent to MS and used by it's activation server? Apparently the HWID hash, but what about any retail key used to install Win7?
    3. When does this information actually get pushed to the MS activation server? gatherosstate seems to work just fine when not connected to the internet, so it seems this is a local query of the HW only. I would guess then that it happens during the actual activation of Win10, once it's installed and connects for the first time?
    4. For VMs, are you saying you seem to be able to activate any number of instances?
    Regards,

HWID is bound to the hardware it is generated on, so every time you re-install the same sku, it will reactivate by HWID
    Will ask for details.

    Got an answer:
    After clipup is ran.
All my VM installs seemed to get HWID activated without having to do anything, except on VL installs, then i only need to insert the appropriate hwid key. After generating all HWID's for all capable SKUs once before.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Right, I understand that. Just asking if once the activation occurs the first time, will the same installation ever reconnect to the activation servers again?

And that happens when? When an installation activates for the first time?

    Thanks again!

I've never tested, considering my system is always online when started.
Following the OP, it happens after putting the genuineticket.xml in it's folder and the reboot when you can go online.

When the command is used manually, no need for keeping the system offline for using the genuineticket.xml.

Not able to transfer digital license using MS account. Getting "We can’t reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later. " error.
    What I did:
    1. Installed Windows 10 Pro (z390 motherboard, so no Windows 7 support) and VirtualBox
    2. Installed Windows 7 Ultimate in VirtualBox VM
    3. Daz activated Windown 7
    4. Upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and added MS account - says activated with digital license linked to your Microsoft account
    5. Run activation troubleshooter on the physical box, selected changed hardware option, received "We can’t reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later. "
Is there something I am missing or is this method not working anymore?

    1. I shutdown the VM prior to reactivation
    2. Yes, I chose the VM as “this is my device” and clicked “Activate”

    1. The actual error is "We can’t reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later." after I select the device and click "Activate". No further information is given. I'll get the screenshots tonight.
    2. None of the situations described in "Additional Troubleshooting Steps" apply.
    3. This is using 1909 (both physical and VM), although I do not think it should matter.
