[Not working anymore] How to upgrade from W7/8.1 without going through the complete upgrade process

Will this process break after Microsoft discontinues the free upgrade to Windows 10?

Errr.. sorry to ask this but I did not understood where to paste the copied gatherosstate.exe?

Which location is "to your installation which should be upgraded."

 

Paste it somewhere in the w7/w8.1 which is candidate to be upgraded.

Doesn't seem that cryptic to me.

 

Can you plz elaborate in which folder location exactly I need to paste?

 

Just make an folder temp at c: for example and put it there

 

By this upgradation method, will it be clean install (all drives, files deleted) or just upgraded to Windows 10 without deleting my existing drives and files?

Do I need to take backup of all my files and re-install all software and restore files?

 

Just make backup and upgrade to 10 and follow the instructions of the op

 

Put it on the USB drive that You're going to use for the genuineticket. When You run it the ticket will be put there

I have updated win 7 to win 10 which was Daz Activated.
Now win 10 shows that I am Activated for Digital entitlement
I have created USB using Media Creating Tool.
Can I use the USB to install on other PCs which are win 7 and Daz Activated.
and
One more thing i want to clean install on my first PC so I checked for MOBO drivers on biostar
they are not listed there.
Can I go with the installation, does the win update installs the drivers too.

 

So upgradation through this process is only durial trial period? Do we have to re-install everything with some another method after July? Is this not permanent activation?

I am sure MS has figured out that some late upgraders (say 1 month after 7/29/2016, w/ the DVD) will try to reset their PC clock(s) back to install the update.
Probably some kind of (install) timer running after one resets their PC clock back to the correct date.

 

Since activation happens via MS servers with the correct time and date, that would be pointless.
