[Not working anymore] How to upgrade from W7/8.1 without going through the complete upgrade process

How do you get the taste of Microsoft arse out of your mouth every morning?

Can you actually understand that the subject whether Microsoft will stop pushing their shiit on to peoples computers soon is of relevance to people who DO NOT WANT IT?
MANY MANY people have turned updates OFF completely to avoid the X malware infection. Perhaps when they stop giving it away, they can once more get the security updates they have paid for with the purchase of 7 and 8(1)

 

I was in the neighborhood, keeping an eye on the latest developments of win10 and thought I'd share my opinion. The poll did ask for comments. So I shared mine.
The only benefit I can see for win 10 is directx 12 for gamers but as I prefer to play games on consoles, dx12 is somewhat, like win10, irrelevant to me and I don't need nor want it on my hardware.
I respect your views on the subject and trust that you will respect mine.

Don't shoot, me just messenger, I do not believe everything I read, you know as well as me MS wants to make money, thus a "few stories"

 

Then don't use it, Personally, I like Windows 7 better but, due to DirectX 12, and I PC game, I needed to go to 10, This is why I have a dual boot with 7 and 10...

After 2 hrs of installation I was finally hoping to see the Win 10 screen but I got reverted back to Win 7 with error msg of "0x8007002C-0x4000D The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation"

Also the Win 7 had started showing an illegal copy.. which I have now validated through Daz loader.

Any ideas mates what should I do now? Should I try again? I am not a tech guy so I am clueless..

 

Were you doing a upgrade to Win10 from Win7??
Or were you doing a clean install??

 

upgrade through iso downloaded from techbench......

I am not a tech guy, but what I am wondering is this activation is possible because of that genuineticket file. And I understand it must contain something related to identifying that particular laptop. But can we edit it so that it can activate new laptops as well?

Sorry if this sounds ameteur.. just my 2 cents.

That would be a MAJOR exploit for hacking windows

But i've read a post which stated this:

boot to w7/8.1 and install the MS toolkit and service, activate the OS, and put gatherosstate.exe on the desktop.

I want to ask if this can work (full upgrade: yes but gatherosstate with a kms solution?).

 

In the case of an already existing win8.1 kms activated installation would it be possible to make use of the native boot capabilities of an .vhd(running win7) added to the bcd ,generate the .xml file in that win7 vhd then add another vhdx(running win10) to bcd-triple boot at this point and get win10 activated and obtain the digital entitlement in case one wants to switch to win10 later.It may sound complicated but its easier to use this disposable vhd files,at least for me.
