It most likely doesn't warn, it just asks for a key, to activate :)

They will most likely either extend the free offer or "upgrade" you without activation.

it is my opinion, that the free offer for w10 will extend with BS excuses until the anouncement of whatever they will call w11.

why, simple, M$ forced the upgrade down the throat of their users that didnt upgrade freely and that M$ were able to trick them by the red X (they abused the concept of interpretation...) amoungs other things.

so, why stop that borg (from star trek) cruzade now?

You can't extend it after it ends

While I doubt I want Windows 10 in my house, just in case that changes I pulled an all-nighter (with copious quantities of rum) to process my assorted PCs.

I used the 'no upgrade' summarised by Yen. That made life much easier (thank Yen et al). I just moved a spare HD from one PC to another, grabbing the ticket and reinstalling Win10 each time, to get the HWIDs registered. All the PCs were SLIC'd whether bought like that or otherwise ;)

Then just now I read the thread about MS messing with the Group Policy options, and thought, "why did I bother???".

    Stuff MS and Windows 10!

Shame, it actually looked like a nice OS on the face of it and only one PC had a hardware component that didn't get a driver.

Now, one question to add to this.. How can I do the same on a small Win 8.1 Bing Tablet with 32GB space.
I'm thinking of putting a small Native boot VHD on the SD card to boot. Maybe minimize the size of the Win 10 VHD.
I thought I could do it via USB drive but it just wont show.

    Any thoughts/ ideas welcome.

You could just have used the same install over and over again ;)

Win10 has some nice features, but deep inside I'm glad that after 1 year of insanely aggressive "free" update offer, win7 is still the 1st choice!
