    One Billion or Bust :clap:

    Bat's poor little hamsters are taking a beating working overtime trying to run the upgrade in VM :( Anyone with a low spec Rig is in for one hell of a trip :g: Makes Bat glad he did it a long time ago with his Celeron D :) Going from 85% to 89% of installing updates has taken close to one hour at 100% CPU usage. :eek:

    Time to go stick the dog and if it finishes, it finishes. If Not then who cares :)

    How does the upgrade validate? ie how is it different from running a regular win10 upgrade?

    Just confirming that the free upgrade post 29 July via the Assistive Technologies tool works fine. Tested. This post.

    Before upgrade start Narrator (win+u and Start Narrator).
    (česky před upgradem spustit Narrator (win+u a Spustit program předčítání)).

    It works without any extra effort, have tested it with 8.1U1 Core KMSpico activated and after upgrading it got a Digital Entitlement, did a reset without keeping anything and the DE was still there :)

    Well Not by Bat :( Fought all Day long with 7-HP and Ultimate in VMs on two PCs and Never got a upgrade to complete :weep: Prolly time to check some HDDs the way He burns em up o_O

    I have no real systems to test it on, they all have DE's for all versions, maybe i missed one of the N versions, installing one now on test system :)

    Could you do the upgrade with a Windows 10 ISO, or do you have to use the Assistive Technology Download Tool?

    When You run the tool it checks for the latest update and the download contains the 10586 multi .esd. The esd is always the same, :g:but the file sizes of other things are different with every download o_O

    Ok, could someone not just upload the folder that downloaded using the tool with the included esd file, for some else to use.

    Also can someone post a screenshot of the contents of the folder this tool downloads.

    Can confirm that just by doing the standard W7 install, then activate with Daz then mount ISO of W10 and upgrade you can still get your systems that HWID in MSFT's servers and get your hot digital entitlement. I just did it 1 hour ago, way past the fake deadline. It's all a joke, there is no real deadline until they close the servers.

    The gates are still open for W10 ... MS want to get 1 billion users for sure.

    It's kind of strange because this whole W10 affair .. free for everybody including pirates stinks of NSA involvement. Sounds like it's them who are subsidizing the spying and MS is just an enabler.
