Sorry for this noob question, But need little clarification regarding points 2.1 and 2.2

2.1 Where we have to copy "gatherosstate.exe" from downloaded windows 10? Should I paste to my windows 7 desktop before running it or please specify the exact directory where I have to paste it in my Activated Windows 7.

2.2 After running it where will the output "GenuineTicket.xml" be saved on Windows 7.

Open the ISO file with 7-zip/Winrar/UltraISO, and extract gatherosstate.exe from sources folder
you can use any writable directory for extraction

GenuineTicket.xml will be generated next to gatherosstate.exe

After extraction where I have to place gatherosstate.exe, on windows 7 desktop or some specific directory. Then I have to run the gatherosstate.exe as administrator?

Anywhere you like, I'd do it from desktop.
    Run as admin.

    Hello
I did a fresh install w10 from iso 14393 and skipped enter key at setup.
I was unable to find C:\ProgramData folder.

In steps 1.1 thru 2.3 do I need my router/modem connected and powered on to create this C:\ProgramData folder ?

At first desktop , would that be the proper time to DISABLE internet or will C:\ProgramData folder be created even though there is no internet connection through the whole installation w10 to first desktop ?

Is 'Once it's installed' the same meaning as 'Once you have a desktop' ?

    Thanks!

It's already there, but it's a hidden folder
just paste C:\ProgramData in the file explorer address bar and press enter to get there

How would I go about installing windows 10? Boot up the ISO while in desktop of windows 7? Create a bootable USB with win10 and restart computer to load it? Or use the program that I download from the windows assistive technologies site?

If you want to really upgrade, you have to start the setup.exe of the mounted/unpacked iso. If you want to do a fresh/clean install, then boot from the dvd/usb.

I'm trying to install windows 7 ultimate x64, activate with Daz loader, and upgrade to win 10. So I should unpack the win 10 pro x64 iso and run setup from there, right?

    Yep, that will work.

But this thread is about skipping the real upgrade by generating a genuineticket.xml to directly clean install 10 after generating the ticket on an activated Win 7.

No need to unpack, mount the iso and launch the setup.

^ Windows 7 does not have the native iso mount ability

He just can unpack the iso to the desktop and run setup.exe, after the upgrade has finished he is on 10 with the mounting option availabe ;)

Got it! Decided to do it your way instead of upgrading from win 7 and did a clean install. Everything worked out perfectly. Thanks!

Can anyone confirm that this works on a system with an embedded Win 10 Core/Home key? Can you activate Pro without it "forcing" you to install Core/Home?

Also the Win 7 validation webpage appears to have vanished. Did it get removed?
