8.1 -> KMS Activate -> 15086 (1511).
Afterwards you can install latest Windows 10 build.

 

any build of 8.1? and what if one uses 16299 (1709) iso, or 1703?

So far it even works by mounting the ISO and run setup. We'll see what will happen soon .

 

That was a limited offer for 30 days, 2 years later and it still works and will work until all other windows versions crumble.

 

The nagging to do the free upgrade was set for one year and it stopped after the year was over, the free upgrade itself has not stopped and it is said to stop dec. 31. 2017 (published at the assistive upgrade website.

 

Using 10586 is CRUCIAL in that case!

You can use MCT or download latest November 16299.64 ISO.

And a Volume License, basically, for a normal home daily user, is better than a Pro version?

 

This thread is about how to get a free hwid for 10 but skipping the entire upgrade.
A hwid is oem/ret, not volume.

HWID can only be established for Home (+N), Pro-WS and Pro (+N) which also works for activating Cloud (+N).

 

if i install windows 10 on virtual machine and activate it through-the-complete-upgrade-process. and later i use this activation on real machine..
my point is:- i want to preserve the activation after 31-12-2017 for my new pc

Since a virtual machine's virtualized hardware is fundamentally different from bare metal hardware, I'm pretty sure that it won't work that way. Since the process enumerates and fingerprints the hardware, you need to run it on the actual machine you want to establish the HwID to.

That being said, once the HwID is established, it will be preserved, even after 2017-12-31. You can still invalidate it through substantial hardware changes, so better bind it to an MS account.

Did gatherosstate method a few weeks ago on VMware, worked great. Today, using a media downloaded today and virtualbox, I have nothing but problems. I'm trying again, but nice to confirm still working on latest media?

 

Hy guys! I'm pretty new to this. I've read a lot of posts but still I am a bit confused. Firstly, can anyone confirm if this method still works as of today? Secondly, if I just install W7 SP1, activate it with Windows loader by Daz and go through the upgrade process from the assistive technologies page will it work? Are any of this methods untraceable? Sorry if I am the thousandth noob to ask the same questions, but there is just a tone of info to read and the deadline is approaching fast. Thanks.

 

This thread is about NOT having to do any full upgrade to get the free HWID, by generating a genuineticket.xml and a direct clean install of 10.

Full upgrade can be done by ISO/USB/DVD/MCT and Upgrade Assistant/Assistive Upgrade (same tool).
