when you said "On the main PC with my spare hdd running WIn 7, I generated GenuineTicket.xml and saved it to USB drive", where did you get the GenuineTicket.xml file from ? you have to get it from win10 iso (home + pro), is that what you did ?

You mean: where did you get the gatherosstate.exe from? Because he generated the ticket using the spare hdd and saved it, so that will be ok :)

If you have an original Windows 7 license key, just do the following:

    1) Insert Windows 10 media and start the installation.
    2) When it asks for a key, just type in your Win7 original key.
    3) Enjoy!

He used the key already on the original hardware. Now he has a replacement mobo, so prolly needs a new HWID generated.

If inserting the generic pro key doesn't work he has to stop the clp server and reinsert the new genuineticket.xml, somewhere should be a xinso post about how to do this. @s1ave77 will prolly know how to stop the clpv server?

i think that's he doesn't want to do, reinstall, he prefers not to reinstall as he has already win10 with all his apps and data.

did you download the win10 iso with the same architecture (x86 or x64) as win7 pro ?
if you didn't use the same architecture, that could explain the problem you have.

Rearming on Win 10 isn't the same as on Win 7, in my tests it only made the activation go crazy :g:. Better refuse to use it.

Also doesn't matter, the ticket will work on x86 when generated on x64.

are you sure about that ? because i read that you have to use the same architecture otherwise it won't work.

I've seen @mxman2k struggling with that message :D

    Yes, the ticket should disappear.

Open a admin command prompt and enter the following:
    Code:
    net stop sppsvc
    cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WSLicense
    ren tokens.dat tokens.bar
    net start sppsvc
    cscript.exe %windir%\system32\slmgr.vbs /rilc
This should rebuild the token/activation store. You may have to re do the copy genuineticket into the clipsvc\genuineticket folder again. It should hopefully fix that daft error message.

Its because the OS on the HDD is from another system the activation gets confused.

The folder "WSLicense" in the directory C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft does NOT exist for me. Would using MTK to activate using AutoKMS help generate these tokens of the current system?
