Can I use 17134.1 when installing, or should I use something older?

    Shouldn't matter.

I have a laptop that does not have support for Windows 7 meaning if I install it on the laptop, it won't have any drivers, does this affect the GenuineTicket.xml?

If you will be able to install drivers for all network connections, then GenuineTicket.xml generated on Windows 7 may work on Windows 10.

Just to get this clear, did you install Windows 10 to the 160gb drive first, and then later to the 320gb? Or did you just add the drive as a second drive and fresh install Windows on the 160gb drive?

My question being, I'm planning on taking a genuineticket.xml from a Windows 7 install on a 2TB hard disk, and freshly installing Windows 10 on a new 240gb SSD, using that ticket. This should work right?

As long as it's the same computer, it should work.

After all this, MS can and does suddenly make your legal activation not genuine with various error issues. If you get too many and too frequently, just use KMS to activate Pro.
I had to do it from Feb-Mar 2018, but recent reformat has restored activation. On 1709 but hope to install 1803 (or whatever it is called) on the weekend.
I have tried 1803 on a scratch basis from MDL but because of my conservative nature, I will use April 2018 only when it becomes officially RTM.

I have established working HWID'S for all imaginable sku's (17 sku's), all Home and Pro ones are from before 10240 was officially released and all still work. They can't see how the hwid's are established, bij kms>gatherosstate>hwid, MSDM>HWID, Key>HWID, upgrade from 7 SP1 or 8.1, etc...

I meant is it possible to get HWID for enterprise versions as mentioned by @Enthousiast .I know work station can get HWID by going through pro upgrade route but I thought enterprise versions can not get HWID by any method.

    Looking for help here.

I did a exactly same test on 32bit Home version but failed meanwhile 64bit Pro version is okay. The error message is,

    C:\windows\system32\clipup -v -o -altto d:\ ------------- d:\ is where genuineticket.xml is located
    Done.
Failed to convert one or more genuine authorization tickets on disk licenses.
0 licenses converted out of 1.
    First encountered error: 0xC03F6609
    Done.

One thing keeps bothering me is that the disk windows 10 is installed is not the one windows 7 is installed. But Pro version doesn't have any problem at all.

    Any Idea?

When I built a new system in Sep 2017, I just entered my win 7 pro key during 10 install screen and it also came out activated. Did not have to do it again for 3 months, then got issues for 2 months, and again no issues on a fresh win 10 install/

It indeed is. Win 10 ISO needs an ei.cfg file in \sources\ folder, else it will install the Win 10 version matching the MSDM key (Home).
    ei.cfg:
    Code:
    [Channel]
    _Default

    [VL]
    0

To be more precise the direct Upgrade will not need the CFG but any clean install will end as Home without it.

Okay so a clean install iso will need the cfg file but upgrade does not. Got it. Thanks, so much.
