Hello, First of all, thx! This is a great forum and i've learned a lot from it. I need ur help guys, i have a Gateway notebook model MX6450, the motherboard is AMD RS482M. Here is the deal, my windows got corrupted and i dontk now how (it wasnt a virus or HD failure), i tried to install windows XP from manufacturer CD and it doesnt work, so i'm going to install windows vista. BUT, i need to update the notebook bios prior to installing the new windows. I downloaded the new bios from their support site but it came with winplash and considering that i dont have a windows installed, i cant use it. My question is, can i use phlash16 on dos to flash my bios using the bios data that came with winplash utility? Thx, Carlos.
