When I was running XP, I always used NTbackup to do regular backups of my private data namely the documents folder, my favorites and outlook.pst. I have now upgraded to Windows 7 and I need to recover an old document I have in one of my archives. I tried the "Backup and Restore" function in Windows 7 but did not find how to load my backup file. Does anyone know how I can do that? Thanks
Windows 7 NT Backup cannot access Windows XP backup files. You can install Virtual PC and use XP mode to access it or use another computer running XP or Vista to get what you need out.
