Maybe for the Gamers a nice tip! After many research and many testing to get my MSI 970 GTX sli under build 10135 i got now a prober result with my sli! Tip 1: Installed the latest chipset inf intel 10.0.27 but!! Intel does not provided all of the chipset in the ''Device Manager'' correcly! Some of the system files from my motherbord (MSI SLi PLUS X99S + Intel 5930K) are not update well! And it like more then 10 files to be needed to update! What i did is some from the previous version from intel 9.4.2.1019 inf to extract them all, and manuel update in the '' Device Manager''! And wholaaaa i get some more stability in my system. And i think this is the main reason to get the stabilty from my system! And maybe even more for the OCers Tip 2: directx is must to have on your computer to play the latest games and all the Microsoft Visual 2008 , 2010 , 2012 and 2013 must be installed! Tip 3: laterst whqe windows 10 352.84 nvidia drivers. pls share your experiance pls! Note My system MSI SLi Plus x99s bios .192 2x MSI Gaming 4 G OC SLI 16 GB GSKILL Samsung 951 SM 512 GB SSD Firestrike Ultra 5801
AMD user here but yes making sure directx is a must as well the MS Visuals you mentioned. In Addition make sure netframework 3.5 is also installed.
So far I have had little luck with Windows 10 and Nvidia drivers. All driver so far has worked terrible in SLI with bluescreens, blackscreens, stopped drivers, non initialized drivers, artifacting on multiple-screen-setup and some serious stuttering in games. I'm running dual 980 G1 Gaming cards on a Dell 4k (dual-pane) monitor so not running SLI is not a viable option which it even more frustrating. But hey, it's still early and not even release-drivers are perfect.
General things to do on every system, plus Steam automatically installs all needed redists. You just reinvented wheel.
