nVidia Linux Driver Update Thread

    OK, experts, once long ago I dared say I am using a proprietary nVidia driver and not Open Source Linux driver for my graphics card and I got my ears pulled, on a forum.... :D

    Nowadays, I wonder, is it any better and nVidia drivers are better than Linux community ones (for something like what Yen mentioned, that is in my son's PC), please?

    The only way to run Nvidia on linux is use the proprietary drivers. The open source drivers for Nvidia are garbage.

    Even I don't use nouveau because I need OpenCL and CUDA acceleration in linux.
