Hi, Everest is the latest and greatest. Even used the beta one as well. I used to run Vista and have never found the SLIC table until I saw your post. That is why I got quite excited. My guess is that he is running F.11 or earlier. Will wait to see your post with the F.11 SLIC 2.1. If I use a loader my Win7 activates perfectly. So I know the key and certificates are ok. Darren
there is nothing on the screen, but the optical drive soes seek - so maybe it could find something there. i've tried to make a flash iso from the original bios on the hp website -but it doesn't do anything. how do you do blindflash? and i don't know how/why it bricked, but it did.
by blindflash i mean, push the buttons, and hope that its selecting the right things maybe the iso did boot, and it was waiting for you to have user input, do you remember how the flash tool screen looked? where you pushed up and down keys to select the options and hit enter or f10 to confirm?
very odd... ill have to ask my friend what bios version hes running on... as his vista oem did activate on his, but i dont think he updates his bios often, so who knows... we'll find out when he come online. i myself havent upgraded to rtm yet, still running on RC, because this is my work laptop, and upgrade means all my drivers need to be reinstalled and such, takes time, time i dont have during the week. so i can only verify that i have slic2.1 from the slicdumptool and through everest v5. rtm might not activate for me either, but i do know my bios is slic2.1, we'll find out during/after the weekend

if remco is your colleague... he actually doesnt have an issue, i was replying to his post, just didnt quote it. he's using f.15 and he has a slic table... all that is needed, is to flash, with a flasher that works
