I think the culprit of that request is Facebook which started to spread again that almost dead format
Nobody said it''s the most important, if you can read correctly. But it is important, so it should be supported by any decent image viewer. And after all, it's also a matter of what one wants, which may or may not be important to others. If you don't have a useful contribution, you're not obliged to post. I have been coming across animated GIFs all over the web before I even knew Facebook existed, and which I never joined by the way. And it’s nowhere near dead yet, or even declining I’d say, just visit imgur, for example. If you doubt its effect, imagine the difference if you couldn’t see the animation in e.g. my XMAS sig. EDIT: @ Mods My original question has been answered, as Windows Photo Viewer doesn’t do what I want and I prefer to stick to the new Photos app. This thread can therefore be closed.
