    hello again, i'm still getting the same error

    but i notice something, the file Basic1.3.15\WIM - Last partition\Windows 8 Recovery Tools\Settings - Examples\MBR\SettingsRE.txt

    has the following argument:

    Code:
    IMAGEPART=4
    IMAGELETTER=I
    IMAGESIZE=12000
    and the following files file Basic1.3.15\WIM - First partition\Windows 8 Recovery Tools\Settings - Examples\MBR\SettingsRE.txt

    has the following arguments

    Code:
    DISKID=0
    RECOVERYPART=1
    RECOVERYLETTER=R
    SYSTEMPART=2
    SYSTEMLETTER=S
    WINDOWSPART=3
    WINDOWSLETTER=W
    LANG=EN-US
    WINLOAD=WINLOAD.EXE
    BOOTFS=NTFS
    I know these files are supposed to be differente, but the problem is that I don't see the
    Code:
    IMAGESIZE=12000
    part, or is it on a different file when we use first partiton method?

    can the image file captured, install.wim could be applied using this code?

    Code:
    dism /apply-image /imagefile:d:\install.wim /index:1 /applydir:c:\
    if I use this command line
    Code:
    recimg -CreateImage C:\RefreshImage
    I get as a result a WIM file image 29GB, but If I use this script I get a 8GB Wim file, these in 2 identical computer installing the same identical applications, may be that is why I i keep getting the error?? is htere a limit on the size that DISM could capture?.... by the way the recovery partition I made it 35GB so I know that is not the problem...

    The odd thing is that i do not get anny errors while the script is running, and at the end i get this message "capture done. Capture ready for end-user, press any key to continue..... so after this I try booting for the first time i get "windows can not finalize the system´s configuration, to try again restart the system" if i restart the same happens again and again...........

    any feedback will be really apreciated

    Regards

    Not many AV's works with sysprep, MSE does for sure. Uninstall them right before sysprepping.

    The password is in the text on the first side of the installer. In case you are unable to get it from there, it's "OEM".

    In the "WIM on the last partition" version, I shrink the last partition of the hard drive to create the recovery partition. the size is in SettingsRE.txt. In the version with the WIM on the first partition, the partition is created using the AutoUnattend.xml.

    Did you download and put the 2 ImageX file required for Windows 7? They are not required for Windows 8. Since M$ EULA forbid the distribution of thèses files, you have to DL them by yourself....
