    Conclusion for me :

    Under ( W732 ) and ( W 764 )
    ---------------------------------
Creating DVD restoration --- > OK
Restoration on DVD --- > OK
Imaging on USB --- > OK
Image restoration in USB --- > OK
Launch of the environment from the desktop --- > OK
Launch of the environment with a touch --- > OK

    Under ( W832 ) and ( W864 )
    --------------------------------
Creating DVD restoration --- > OK
Restoration on DVD --- > OK
Imaging on USB --- > OK ( but not renamed Recovery1 USB port)
Image restoration in USB --- > OK
Launch of the environment from the desktop ---> does not work for me

    NOTE:
I noticed that during image restoration in W732 and W764 that could run other tools in the " recovery menu " An untrained end customer could interrupt the restoration and crash the system unintentionally by running one of these tools during the process restauration.Y was there a way to prevent this ?

What do you mean exactly by that?

I will take a look, but just in case, can you give me the output of the command "REAGENTC /INFO" ?
Also, you need normally about 2 reboot to have it enabled. Finally, are-you able to enter the recovery environment the "regular" way, by pressing (and holding) SHIFT while selecting "Reboot" in the charms bar?

Closing/Killing the menu will make the computer imediatly reboot, so I can't touch it.

    Everything seems to works correctly.

If you run the following command, the computer should reboot into the recovery environment

    REAGENTC /BootToRe

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

Make sure the x86 one is in the x86 folder but rename to imagex.exe and do the same for the one in the x64 bit folder (change name to imagex.exe).

OK i got that working and installed following the PDF but there is no F7 option. The unit took the image correctly and everything. Do i need to modify a config file to enable the F7 menu option?

It doesnt say what f key you used but if you reboot and hit the f7 key right after the bios screen you should enter into the recovery partition. I change my f key personally to f11 since my dell lappy used that before for the oem recovery partition it came with (SettingsRE.txt under Hotkey is where it is located to change f key).

    Hello

So after changing the config and re-installing my hotkey still is not working. What could cause this? I am trying to use this for an older Dell D630 laptop running w7hp X86.

If the laptop didn't come with win 7 on it (hense you said old) the odds are it wont assign the f key. I had a same issue with a gateway that had xp on it originally. I had to use arconis on that one for this project didn't work on it. You might have the same issue. This is a problem trying to get a old machine to work like the new ones do....they cant for they aren't made for it. Not saying this is your exact problem but I have a feeling it is.

I tried it on a native W7 machine as well with the same results. Hotkey is still not working after i set it to both the F7 and F11 hex code in the settings. Im at wits end on how to get this hotkey to work./

    @ AnarethoS
These seems to be the issues...should be 1 and 0. Plus the ID is all zero's and recovery environment is empty. I haven't seen this before.

I wonder if windows loader is being used for I read that it could cause issues...don't know if that is true for I haven't tried for most all mine are oem activated using searchengines project for oem activations.

I don't know why, but it seems your Recovery Environment is not enabled!

Type the following command in command prompt and try again

    REAGENTC /ENABLE

This should enable the recovery environment correctly.

WinRE is disabled (so he can't use it at all, neight by pressing the F key or by using the "Repair my computer" option).

I wonder what is disabling it? Just curious. I know you don't know but maybe when TFL gets back he can give some details on what he installed prior to capturing the image.
