The thread on the WIM-BOOT option seems to have detail on how to add SDD to VMware. I may try to work on this later, bu don't expect this for now, I am lacking time o_O

Probably wrong thread since this is for Anarethos recovery tools (ART) and now a generic thread.
But you need to write new bootloader or repair. You should have software to start recovery too

I understand the problem you say.

    Example:
No DVD and USB recovery tool.

=> How to boot the recovery partition if Windows can not boot?
    Used F11 ?

By default windows 8.x has safe mode menu disabled (the OS was really meant for touch devices but that is changing some now)....do the following from admin cmd prompt.

    bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy

restart your computer and when booting up after the bios screen hit the f8 key and choose repair my computer...now you will have access to the recovery partition and other tools if needed. Hope this helps. :)

and to disable it again, from admin cmd prompt.

    bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy standard

No function keys are available in win 8.x....if you want a f key assignment then you will have to stick to win 7. No other options.

Read the description of the Powershell Module to install it. You just put the files in the correct locations.
To run it you need to run powershell as administrator and run the following commands:
    Code:
    Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned

    Import-Module PSWindowsUpdate

    Get-WUInstall -acceptall

Firstly check the sysprep logs for the reason. They're a pain too look through but easy enough to understand.

The most common error that causes this is the Windows Media Player Sharing Service - make sure this is "Stopped" before Sysprep - set it to Manual instead of Automatic Start (reboot after doing this) and if that doesn't work Disable the service and reboot and try again.
