tried but not succeed..may be i can do wrong can you tell me which folder to move in C:\ and which folder properties i have to change. If i uncheck (read Only attribute) "Setting" Folder properties and click ok after a refresh its automatically check the Read only attribute.
Yes i moved all C:\Basic1.3.15\WIM - First partition\Windows 7 Recovery Tools\Settings - Examples\MBR files to C:\Basic1.3.15\WIM - First partition\Windows 7 Recovery Tools\Settings and run the script.
Did you also include the imagex.exe's? Also did you just click the cmd file or did you run it from cmd prompt? It needs to be ran from cmd prompt.
no i didn't include imagex.exe. i just open Update_Settings with administrator rights.. update : tried with imagex.exe but same problem
has anyone tried with server 2008? if so, will it keep any preconfigured group policies, registry modifications, etc?
How can i add the Installer folder to my windows 8 image (ready for AUDIT mode). Also i want to activate windows and keep activation afteraudit mode, has anyone any ideas?
in windows 7 ISO, there is an andministrator user, but not in windows 8 ISO, so the drag and drop idea is a little useless. i want to be able to install windows 8 on a PC and inside audit mode what the installer file on the desktop in front of me. also is there any good multi - installation sofware to install anti-virus ect after audit mode closes.
Once you've setup & captured from Audit mode, Just setup your apps/antivirus & activate. Then boot into the recovery, open the command prompt, delete the current install.wim & create a new one. Code: del R:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Install.Wim Dism /Capture-Image /CaptureDir:W:\ /ImageFile:R:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Install.wim /Name:"Recovery Image" /Compress:max Where R: is your recovery drive & W: is your Windows drive...
Will this work with an SSD and HHD? The SSD will have the recovery tools set up with 4 partitions. The second HHD will store Documents, Pictures, Movies, and Music on the larger storage drive since access time is not so important. For each folder I would move the location in the folder properties from the SSD to the HHD. That's how its set now. Would be nice to have the recovery option added to the SSD. Just not sure if refresh and reset would have issues since it won't be changing anything on the HHD? Just might need to redirect the folder properties to the HHD each time.
You can't. My Tools requires Windows Recovery Environment, which is not available for Windows Server edition.
Windows, the recovery image and the recovery Tools must be on the same drive. When you will be restoring Windows, only the drive containing the Windows partition will be affected. If your data are on another drive, you will be safe. Still, the best way to be sure is to test four yourself. If you are using Windows 8 and use the reset option, dont' use the "clean up my drive" option. I am not sure if you data will be kep otherwise.

Hi thank you for this software. was able to get it working on the first try. was looking for a long time to find something that worked so easily. however, i have a query and am not sure if it would be possible i work for a small company and we send out roughly 50 to 100 laptops / pcs per month with windows 7 professional 64 bit we use windows deployment server to push out the image to the pcs and laptops. my problem is that when windows deployment captures the image it only captures the c: partition and does not capture the recovery partition. is there a way to capture all the partitions in one image file. Thanks again for the software
I recompiled the files that were flagged by the antivirus (RecoveryREX86.exe). Now I got a question about the required files that are indicated in the documentation. I see these files have to be retrieved from ADK or Windows installs. However I see that some of them are included on the "$Required files" folder. Are these correct? can they be used? For example I see that Oscdimg.exe must be placed on the Windows 8 recovery toold folder and it's also included in that other folder.
