If you want an up to date generic DVD/USB then read my post#409. Now it`s corrected. (when i did it the first time (64bit) i was "shure" that i used the REARM command so sorry guys for waisting your time) I`ve made both 32bit and 64bit this way and both 100% working.
Wow alright hehe. Ill wait for your reply tomorrow Is there a checkbox i need to/should uncheck? Edit: All checked boxes are; Generalize, rearm, Generic Image & Capture Now Unchecked are; Keep drivers & No sysprep. Is that good?
Well, your options are good. On my side, the restore on my coworker computer was perfect. He was up and running in less than 1 hour all drivers where OK also.
Nice hehe. I hope you did a generic image, beacuse generalize option works finr for me as well Its just the stupid generic that wont work.. Tried earlier today again with only chrome and avira antiviruse, same s**t.
You say that the Generalize option works. Did you use the "Keep the Drivers" option checked or not? It may makes a difference.
Generalize option.. Hm yea i used that one too but when i check "Generic Image" the "Keep drivers" automatically unchecks for me
Thats is normal. You can't create a Generic image while keeping the drivers. If you DO NOT create a geneirc image, but a normal image with the following option, does it works : - Generalize - Rearm DO NOT check "Keep Drivers" (should do the same things than with a generic image)
Yea i know its suppose to uncheck Keep drivers box Yea creting a normal image for that laptop everything works fine. Should I try create a generic image and uncheck generalize & rearm? Will that work or are they needed?
Thay are needed. Rearm is automatic and Generalize is needed to clean-up the drivers. I am thinking that windows Updtes push a drivers for some of your peripherals and the Generalize option dfon't like it. That is why I always make generic image under VmWare.
Making a generic image in vmware will be too rough for my computer and i wont be able to really use it.. Yea i thougt they were needed I can uncheck all drivers and try.. tomorrow. Edit: Or perhaps soon.. When is the next update coming?
Well, aside your problems whic is unreleated to my software (it just use sysprep, I am not renponsible for it shortcommings), I did'nt change anything in the script, except 2-3 errors in the documentation file and the new translation you send me. So, I think the next release will be the final one. Maybe in 2 days, cause my GF grand-father's had a stroke and we have to got to the hospital tomorrow.
Oh, how unfortunate:/ I hope he gets better! Hm wierd. well i was too tired yesterday hehe so i can try again with only updates today.
I used RC1 release & only windows updates..Perhaps i missed to uncheck some driverupdates..And test before that i only installed avira antivir and google chrome.
This is BS.. I Used Version 2 Final, installed, prepped (only with windows updates and avira antivirus), launched recovery tools, selected generic image, captured and failed!
