    Yep.

    1. Download my unattended.xml file for either 3 or 4 partitions & put it on your windows dvd or usb
    2. Start the setup & choose your version to install
    3. After installing (where you configure your user). You press ctrl+shift+F3 (Audit mode). Then you install drivers, updates & software
    4. Then you install Anarethis recovery tool. Start it (either x86 or amd64).
    5. Make your selection (add drivers, generalize etc), You dont have to make any more changes. Now press install.
    6. Let it reboot and do its work. It will take awhile.
    7. When its done, reboot computer & configure user as normal.
    8. Make a recovery dvd (singlelayer or duallayer) or a USB drive.
    9. Now your done.

@ ctntad It is not clear to me exactly when you press CTRL + SHIFT + F3. Which phase of the installation is completed then?

When I worked with the recovery tool I have chosen (Generalize, Rearm, Keep Drivers and Capture now). When the PC restarts still doing some configuration and wanted to enter a new user, I do not know why, because I am the only user is already an entry has been Maybe this is it because I did not do at the end of installation Audit mode.

When? After audit mode? After the syspreping you have to configure a user so you can use it.

Yes! I've seen this a one of the ms guides! Should have remembered...
Is there a real need for the 2nd System Partition? Why can't we leave the Recovery as Active?
I also read that valid Recovery partition of type 0x27h must be the 1st partition. In your guide (7.2) you have Recovery after OS partition- Can this later cause issues??

    Thanks for this!

Why me during installation via VMWare Win7 nothing asks for the user, but which takes the user on the Desktop. Is it possible something else in VMware from previous installations, when I performed tests with Win7.
In VMware I have it set 30 Gb disk space and make installation of iso win7, but it is not divide partitions (recovery, system) but only the Windows partition. I think it does not take into account autounattend.xml. What am I doing wrong.?. Thanks (Maybe it should install Win7 CD-ROM)?

I had the same user issue that luky posted. I created a user, then after the reboot it asked for another one. and bam... in the final product, there was two users.
Run thru all modes possible (audit, oobe) but I never installed anything on any modes. Not even drivers. I dunno if does matter or not.. but I'm reporting it

Yeah, and you found a solution for what to do when he wants to have another user login?
It really bothers me so that I do not know if it pays off to work at all Recover.

In my guide, the Recovery partition is the firt one. BUT i have written (in the annex) how to have it after the Windows partition. Having the firt partition of ID 27 make it "hidden" for Windows, while if the recovery partition is After the Windows partition, it will show up in Windows.

Ahd to have the "System" partition separated from the Windows/Recovery partition is to comply with M$ recommendation. (look at most in-store computer, they are all configured this way). Also, I prefer to have my boot files separated from my OS (the recovery environment is an OS by itself).

When you completed install, you should have switched to AUDIT mode BEFORE creating your user (thus, working with the built-in administrator account). If you have 2 users, it is because you did not put the computer in AUDIT mode before installing your software/updates.

Is by any chance you forgot to remove th USB restore OR unmount the DVD before booting into the recovery mode? If yes, the Recovery tools will think it is booted from as recovery media and won't offer the option to capture a new image.

Also, is there any file in the WIM folder on the Recovery Partition?

Please someone explain to me what role does the AUDIT mode to be carried out at the end of the Windows installation.
