With all those apps installed your not going to use the image for mass volume rollout are you! Why are you running sysprep? If this is your personal setup I'd capture the image without sysprepping the machine. That way you'll have a working image with all your apps registered & working...
Yeah good idea, just removed create DL disk from the option or otherwise peoples will waste their money on blank DL discs.
Version 2.0.2 is out. I tried to fix the problem with Dual Layer DVD, but I am unable to test. I move the file position of WINPE.WIM and BOOT.SDI to the root, which I hope will but them on the first layer of the DVD. Is anyone is kined enough to "waste" a DL disk for me, it will be really appreciated. If it doen't work, I will remove the DL burning option. Also, starting with Version 2.0.2, an update script is available (command prompt only, no gui, english only) that allow to update both the Recovery Environment (good when adding option or language!) and the Recovery Media Creator. It is reccomended to create a new restore media after. Don't waste time upgrading if the new option are not needed! Thanks again to all. @TCNTAD : Which guide do you wish to translate? Yours or mine?
Im thinking of making a swedish guide on a swedish forum. Just to share the software Not to translate your guide but maybe mine some way.
Is burning DL disc good? Can you use it? I'll try this later or tomorrow and ill also make a videoguide if i can just for funs.
The DL plate I made Reinstall Windows. All OK, but I have no more D: partition, but only C:. This is now a place of D: Why it happened I do not know.
So, now, it boot for the DL disk? For the missing D drive letter, was this partition created AFTER you created your first image? Also, please remember that by default my script WIPE/DELETE all partition fomr the computer before restoring, recreating only the 3 basic partitions specified in the SETTINGS.INI file.
tcntad Before making Update.cmd I run Backup from Recovery Tool, which he did everything OK, then Backup burned on DL disc and do REINSTALL Wwindows. Everything was OK without any error except that I was missing D: partition, which, after restarting the computer combined into a C: partition. How it happened I do not know.
Yeah, now I understand why he was not there D: partition, because it is so written in settings.ini. Personally, while I have made 4 partitions (Recovery, System, Windows, and Data). What can not be added to settings.ini another partition ...
Read the ANNEX A in the documentation to know how to prevent Recovery to delete partitions but just format them (Disabling the Wipe option)
AnarethoS Thanks again for all your work with the updates. I Checked the new 2.02 and found that in Settings.ini, the language for (7) Romaniane (I believe) is list twice. First time after (1) english and again after (6).
@ AnarethoS I read the manual again, and I understand that if I have 4 partitions, I need to change settings.ini so that we do not delete the partition (Data) at the time REINSTALL Windows, but only Recovery, System and Windows. Thank you. I was interested only ever be repaired settings.ini to remain untouched Data Partition: - When you first run the tool Recovery Tool - Or in the production of DL discs. Please Slovene language translate. Thank you.
How come? On my computer, I still have the language selection and all language available. Which language did you select? Maybe they are in the wrong order....
