It is not created, it seems RecoveryTools copies these over from within '\RecoveryTools2.0.6\Installer\Sysprep\[x86/amd64]' so setup never reaches the oobe stage in autounattend.xml applying themes etc. I guess i could alter the xml files within '\RecoveryTools2.0.6\Installer\Sysprep\[x86/amd64]' and add to oobe specific entries so these are executed/applied after RecoveryTools finishes but before the users login is shown. Have to test that...will report if i succeed
Hi all! For the progress indicator, I will start working on that in january. With the holidays comming and all the familly party and all that fu****g shopping, I don't have any time left to works on that.
Hehe yea holiday sucks when ppl requires attention Welcome back sort of hehe. You can take your time, 2.0.6 works just perfect.
I am testing your version of software and I am unable to find the password. (Both in text feilds) Norton 360 v4 states there is a virus
Ooooh my god, I'm sure its stated somewhere in this thread but please add some stuff to your scripts to stop the service that aborts the sysprep to end gracefully. I have reinstalled a couple of times now and each time ended up in the same snag... net stop wmpnetworksvc was all it took to get by it. I think my mistake was to choose home--network which by default started this service during my audit session. If this service is started when trying to end sysprep it will throw very ugly errors, like: Code: 2010-12-29 01:27:16, Info [0x0f0080] SYSPRP LaunchDll:Found 'drmv2clt.dll,Sysprep'; executing it 2010-12-29 01:27:18, Error [0x0f0082] SYSPRP LaunchDll:Failure occurred while executing 'drmv2clt.dll,Sysprep', returned error code -2147024864[gle=0x00000020] 2010-12-29 01:27:18, Error [0x0f0070] SYSPRP RunExternalDlls:An error occurred while running registry sysprep DLLs, halting sysprep execution. dwRet = -2147024864[gle=0x00000020] 2010-12-29 01:27:18, Error [0x0f00a8] SYSPRP WinMain:Hit failure while processing sysprep cleanup providers; hr = 0x80070020[gle=0x00000020] 2010-12-29 01:27:20, Info [0x0f004c] SYSPRP WaitThread:Exiting spawned waiting thread 2010-12-29 01:27:20, Info [0x0f0052] SYSPRP Shutting down SysPrep log And while I'm at it, is there a quick way to clean the previous image and redo the image creation? Right now I have started from scratch a couple of times, not knowing any better
Thats not mentioned in this thread as far as i know hehe. Are you messing around in services.msc and tweaking?
I'm getting intermitten system freezes since I installed the recovery partition. It was a clean copy of win7, not ram or hd, if I disable all non-microsoft drivers and startup programs it still freezes. I can't understand how a freeze could be related to the partitions, but I'd like to remove them all the same. To do this, can I just reinstall windows, and then remove the two partitions without installing recoverytools? Are there any other steps? How can I remove a system partition? Thakns
Never mind. Ask a stupid question.... get no answer. I like it - I learn better through trial and error! You'll be pleased to know that it wasn't the recovery partitions or the Partition Tool that caused the freezes, as I'm sure you already knew! It's just my s**tty laptop. I think a decent hammer ought to fix it.....
Is there a way to put in a custom wallpaper in the Recovery environment, or is there a script that can place it in the .WIM file without XIMAGE.EXE Also Thanks to the creater and other credits, i am really impressed and this is something i have always needed. MUCH better than ARCONIS or PARAGON....... A* 10/10
Thanks all for your comments I don't know how to change the WallPaper. I was searching a way to do it, but even if I replace all background.bmp file with a new one, the old wallpaper still show up. Also, if you want to re-create a new image of the system, simply delete the WIM file in the recovery partition. The next time the computer will be booted in the recovery environment, you will be prompted to create a new image.
Here is how to change the wallpaper! 1) Install Recovery Tools 2.0.6 2) Go to <INSTALLDIR>\Installer\RecoveryEnvironment\Windows\System32 3) Put a file named "setup.bmp" there 4) Install The Recovery Tools as usual
I have finished creating the "Progress Indicator". I will try the new version in the next days and make it available if everything is OK. Important note : Only the capture/apply process can be monitored. There is no information about the "splitting" and the "copy" of files. For that, the current "Please Wait..." windows will still be there. (ImageX does not provided % for splitting, and I am using XCOPY, so no % also). I also put a new wallpaper
