So it did create the recoverypartition on your computer? The real recoverydiscs? Good:)

With anarethos tool or the real software?
Well you probably shoudnt have formatted the recoverypartition if you did but i think you can create a new one using the real software?

It is suppose to be there, weird its empty if you installed the tool and captured the image..

Follow my pdf, an attached txt with link is few posts above. Check it out.

    Start installation
    create minimum 3 partitions
    audit mode
    install (unpack) the tool
    start tool and capture windows
    reboot

    basically all steps:)

Yes the real (Dell) recovery discs created recovery partition. And I even installed the Dell DataSafe Local backup utility.

Sorry for the confusion, I mean after the anaretho's tool, there are no files loaded in the 12 GB recovery partition (100% Free) according to Windows 7's disk management.

So, what is the purpose of that 12GB? or where did the actual Windows image go?

    Sorry double post!

I already made a backup DVD using anaretho's tool. it's a 3. something in size. Is it normal? or I should get at least 2 DVDs maybe?

    F8

Is it the way to go in safe mode (F8) during the installation?

You can choose to start safe mode by using F8 yes (i guess depending on your motherboard/manufacturer)

If you want to recover, then read instructions;)

That is also something I will add to the pdf, how to recover!

You didnt understand question. During the installation of OS, drivers and software in AUDIT mode.

I tried, but F8 during the boot in safe mode give me the message how it is not possible to continue installation in safe mode and I was pushed on reboot and back to AUDIT mode.

    hi, guys

I tried to use the recovery software after installing windows 7 but every time I launch it , there is an error when the system just reboot after sysprep (error with sysprep).
I followed all the instruction with no results. Can anyone tell me if you install drivers, applications and so on and if the system need to reboot, this can cause the probem ?
My system is in audit mode after reboot, but i get the same error message (sysprep error) when the tool need to rebbot the machine to capture the image file.
    Any information could be usefool.

    Many thanks to all.

What are you installing? If you install an AV it will make the sysprep fail so you have to uninstall it.

    Great work!!!

It works perfect in Netbook with separate data partition and Ubuntu (another 3 partitions).

I will post soon several language supports (spanish, croat, serbian, hungarian).

    Some suggestions:

    1) Add support for dialog logo (extended high for e.g. 545x85 pixels image).
    2) As DVD is not best media for storage, add dialog (two check boxes - one burn DVD and second save ISO) to enable also to save ISO on external USB HDD (as I wrote, for storage purposes),

or add another button (Save ISO) on main dialog.

Above will also solve one problem.

As image is usually bigger than usual older USB stick of 8 G, option with USB don't work nice with external HDD (it work with my Apollo from 250 G, but erase entire HDD). I tried to make active hidden 10 G partition, but it not working also (erase all). So, now it is just to make active hidden 10 G partition and unpack ISO on it.

    Consequently, one question:

    - Where is stored ISO file? (I guess how it must to exist, at least in some temp folder, before dialog for burning)

    1. You will have two ISOäs on the desktop..........
    2. If you want to save the ISOs, then move it an external usbdrive?

Are there enough space on your windowspartition? There should be two isos in a folder or directly on the desktop.

We dont know that, its dependant on how much you install.. 9.41 GB free of C:\ and 8.92 on recoverypartitiong (which has totalsize of 12 GB)..

You should probably have more if you installed alot of applications and all windows updates.

The first iso is around 4 GB, there's atleast two isofiles. The other ones size is up to you and if there's more isofiles.
