    AnarethoS,

I just want to say thank you so much for the your utility. I was able to do a sysprep for my cousin's toshiba laptop. The original system recovery by Toshiba was so crappy that I had to do everything manually. Thanks to your Recovery tool, I was able to rebuild another OEM recovery partition for her.

I had to reinstall everything twice due to a "A fatal error occurred while trying to Sysprep the machine" after running your InstallAMD64.exe. The funny thing is even with that error, Windows was still able to reboot and capture the sysprep image without any problems. After many hours of frustration and three fresh reinstalls, I got the same fatal message and was still able to to capture the sysprep image as well. However, when the system reboot, it was still under sysprep mode. When I tried to execute the "sysprep.exe /oobe /quit", i got the same message "A fatal error occurred while trying to Sysprep the machine." I thought it was NOD32 interfering with your software, so after a second fresh install, I left NOD32 out. However, I got the same fatal error message.

After I googled the issue, I was able to find that wmpnetw.exe was somehow interfering with sysprep. After I ended the process using Task Manager, I was able to reboot the machine into normal end-user mode. I'm not sure if other encountered the same issue as I did. It would be great if maybe you can add that precautionary tip at the beginning of this page so that others wouldn't face same problem.

    Thanks.

    Well. I restarted re-seeding.
Also, I put back the link to DL the missing WAIK files. Please, do give theses files if you redistribute my package, ok? :)

I took notes about that. If I do a new release, I will "kill" the process before running sysprep.

    Thanks!

    Partitions size

Maybe issue exist somewhere in topic, but I didn't found it.

As I should to install one specific machine (about 40 G) for Karaoke Night Club (have Karaoke software where all music and video MUST to be on Program Folder as it is DAT format repack), questions are:

    1) Is it enough to have Recovery of 12 G (I doubt, as main thinks are music and videos), as I guess how Windows partition size can be (e.g.) 50 G (PC is 320 G)? If not, what I should to do?

Well, it mean how 12 GB is not enough (as win is 10 GB and mostly karaoke mp3 files are 30 GB - hard to be more compressed).

    So, question is again:

    Can I make format e.g. 24000 recovery 300 System and 60000 Windows?

Obviously, question is just about Recovery size, as in AnarethoS Instructions is written how Recovery MUST to be 12000.

    AnarethoS, please assist.

Please try to kill any unnecessary processes as well that you think could interfere with sysprep. This would better ensure sysprep cleans up properly afterward and allow booting into OOBE afterward. Thanks.

Just create larger partition and edit the ini file for the tool to match your sizes

    Yep!

I never said it has to be 12GB.. I said that you can create your own size and edit the ini file and (optionally) the autounattend.xml file to match the sizesa you want.

You can also read this in my read me.pdf? But thats too hard right?
(im 99% sure it says you can have your own values in there somewhere)

Yep, you can have the recovery partition any size, but don't go under 12gb, just in case.
Edit the Autounattend.xml and the settings.ini file to match your required size.
The system (boot) partition don't need to be changed.

Why do you recommend not to go under 12GB? I using a recovery partition of 6GB using your tools, works fine for me
