@ AnarethoS.. hey, how can i delete the buttons in recovery gui? I dont want the "repair boot manager - mbr" button because it overwrites my grub loader.. it sets back my Windows to trial mode..
hi guys, I have installed at least 50 systems with this and getting really comfortable with it. One question and one observation: I like to generalize, rearm, keep all drivers but also keep all the settings like DPI to 125%, arrangement of task bar, but those things are reset to default when I run the reimage on another system. How can I keep them? One observation: I am using this mass deploy Windows 7 tablets that have no keyboard. I notice that when going into the recovery, I have to have a mouse to get the menu fully functional, the keyboard with up/down enter can not get by the language selection menu. Any way to get around this? The reason being, the tablet has only 2 usb ports and 1 is already occupied by the usb stick. so less things needed will be better. Same is true when user do their own recover. It would be best even they don't even mouse to execute recovery steps. Great work
@lomana16 I am testing it out turn on CopyProfile during sysprep in unattended.xml . Will report back As with touch driver, is there some type of generic drivers? I never need to install anything for it. How can I start and getting the driver? I like to figure out and put a summary so other tablet users can use too.
New mirror New final mirror with 2.1.1. AIO version Disregard all other mirrorlinks out there, they are old and probably dont work.
You install WAIK on a technician computer. NOT the computer you want the recoverytools on. Run WAIK.exe (or whatever its named) in the package from anarethos. Copy those waikfiles to "Installer" folder. Copy the tool (Installer folder) to a usb stick or whatever you want Install windows 7 on a computer Enter audit mode Do your configuration Run the installer Capture Done Thats if I havent got anything wrong
Prevent Rearming Words can't describe how useful and awesome your tool is. My kids mess up their laptops all the time and this saves me a ton of grief. I do however, choose not to rearm my recovery so i don't have to enter the product key during the recovery process but everytime i'm asked for the product key regardless. While in audit mode i do enter the product key and activate windows. How can i avoid having to enter the product key after every recovery? You mentioned using an XML file? How would it be coded and where would i have to store it to utilize it? Regardless, your tool is superb and i couldn't live without it now that I've found it. Thanks!
SetupComplete.cmd file SetupComplete.cmd file is perfect solution for add to ISO setup files ( e.g. AV, iTunes, etc.) to be installed after OOBE, but I have one question: As it is allways fresh versions of setup files, logical path should to be in separate partition (e.g. D). So, to use files that are not on an installation share (to not be packed with OEM RT)! Did somebody know how should to look script?
I guess (I should try it): @ECHO OFF start /wait D:\SetupFiles\iTunesSetup.exe /norestart start /wait D:\SetupFiles\AVSetup.exe /norestart exit P.S. What part is not clear?
I didnt understood you were talking about the setupcomplete.cmd, i know what you can do with it and all.. But you're syspreping, why use setupcomplete?
I think how already exposed was clear - "As it is allways fresh versions of setup files, logical path should to be in separate partition (e.g. D). So, to use files that are not on an installation share (to not be packed with OEM RT)!". You think how is better to pack all those apps in Windows installation, what mean also in OEM RT recovery image?
I'm just a novice but it looks like you installed in English and tried to recover in Romanian. Have you tried installing and recovering in same language ?
Anarethos please help! I found on the page 111 your SetupComplete.cmd example file, but few thinks are not exactly clear (for me): 1) How exactly should to look :INSTALL section with look for the (e.g.) Spanish.tag and (e.g.) iTunesSetup.exe on D:\SetupFiles directory (C drive/partition is installation drive and D should to be "untouched" drive/partition in recovery)? 2) Is it possible to use wildcard (*.exe) for setup files, or to ask in other way - how to order installation of all EXE files in D:\SetupFiles directory?
@ozzyboy I am currently at my job, so I can't access YouTube. since you are speaking about diferent language, please note the following. On the FULL version of my software, the language selection is only for the MENU, not the OS. You must use a version of Windows 7 that include all language you want if you want to use a different one than english. When using this kind of Windows, no matter what language you select for the recovery menu language, you will have to choose which language to use on first start. On the BASIC version, it is the same thing, except taht you wil not be allowed to choose a different language after restoring, except when using ULTIMATE. Like I said, in both case, you need a version of Windows 7 that include the language you want. To do so, check on how to create a MUI Windows 7 DVD. Thanks.
