If you have use the option do NOT WIPE the HDD and you try to restore to a NEW or DIFFERENT hdd, you will have to MANUALLY recreate the same partition layout as the original drive BEFORE restoring.

Its called WSIM Windows System Image Manager, I believe. Easiet is to use preconfigured ones few pages back.

Is there any options in the basic version to reinstall the OS without saving old files? if not can it be added please? or can you make the ORIGINAL VERSION compatible with uefi/GPT? thanks
Hi I did exactly all the steps but there is a problem. I installed a few application such as firefox, google chrome, km player, Nero... before capturing... I formated Drive C and Reinstalled the windows from recovery.. it went well but when the desktop appeared my applications was not there.. firefox was okay.. the icons disappeared.. kmplayer was listed in Installed application but no Icon and no shortcut in startmenu what did I do wrong?
You may have been in audit mode.when you enter oobe some icons are missing as standard, i have the same issue with dropbox.

The basic version use the built-in Windows tools, so I can't prevent keeping the old file. There is a FullRestore.Cmd file in the Windows folder. Using this one will restore the computer completly and delete everything.
Sorry for the DL problems. I had a problem with my router and my server was unreachable for 2 days Should be up and running fine now.
The recodery disk use a custom installation software. There is no support for AutoUnattend file, as the recovery disk is specific to a computer for which it has been made.
