Elaborate please... If u use PRO version surely it cannot use because it need CD-KEY, which autoattended.xml don't have the key.

For those with the CD key problem, the best way is to use the EI.CFG way.

Create an EI.CFG in the "Sources" folder on the DVD or the bootable USB key that contains the Windows installation files.

Here is the content of the file :

    Code:
    [EditionID]

    [Channel]
    OEM

    [VL]

As it is writtend in the FAQ, you can't.

But, with windows 8, you can create a custom refresh image with the recovery tools gui.

You took the X86/IA64 version rather than the AMD64 version of the file.

    Recently got the problem also.

I think that I tried so much to hide the recovery partition than finally, it got worse.

I will probably try to create a test version in which I will remove all manipulation on the recovery partition and let Windows figure out to hide it by it's ID.

Will post a link when ready :D

hi AnarethoS i ask you a question in previous post but i think u didnt read my post :(

when we run reinstall windows after completing windows re-installation in c:/ a folder with name of WINDOWS.OLD is automated created its not a gud thing mean when a end user (Beginner stage or newbie) reinstall the windows many times he not see or give the importance on this folder this folder minimum size is 15to18 gb depend on softwares when the image created if the c: partition size is 100gb its mean when the recovery run twice in month or two the c: volume space will be full or windows crashed...!!

Second thing is in this recovery version recovery method is not looks genuine RE because as you all brand like hp,dell, acer, sony, msi or others RE mode is not installing windows like your recovery tool do mean all steps like you installing from dvd . . . In your previous leagcy version their is a capturing or recovery bar when we hit recovery button the bar shows and the %timer start that thing much better than this ... I really appreciate your effort and work what u did or doing but this version RE is too far from real RE environment kindly give this tool some more time from your precious time we are testing this tool as fast as so upload the new release.. Thanks for everything making this tool, for supporting, for quick response :worthy:

Also, I had to do a Windows reinstallation on a Toshiba last week, with original Toshiba tools.

The recovery process was launched from the Recovery Environment, but with Toshiba tools rather than basic Windows tools. The Toshiba tools didn't let me choose to keep the data. I had to backup 120gb to an external drive whaile using the "Windows.old" way whould have saved me this step.

Was can be "bad" for some can be a life saver to others....

Ok i agree with M$ offcial soultion that he automated created windows.old folder ... What if some one never want/accepted windows.old folder..??? In hp or mostly dell laptops their is two option complete backup or restore from factory setting when we click factory setting he wipe all hdd and restore OS without any windows.old sorry if i bother u much my question is is their any possibilities that this backup folder never created or if he created but when restore completed this folder can be deleted AUTOMATED not manually...?? aur when you launch your advance version this matter resolve...!!!

Basiclly my some clients is bothering me with this issue or reinstalling issue they saying in original tool recovery never run this why (Reinstalling) 2nd after completing recovery never was folder (Windows.old) :(
