in my post link says it can be reserved. cool? You can reserve your free Windows 10 upgrade now through a simple reservation process. Look for this icon in your system tray at the bottom of your screen, simply click on the icon, and then complete the reservation process. If you don’t see it, check your Windows Update. On my Windows 7, it is not showing up so I assume this will be part of path Tuesday June 2nd. The initial release will be for PC and tablets. You can reserve your free upgrade in the Get Windows 10 App. Once you reserve, Windows 10 will download when available, and you can cancel your reservation at any time.
I have lost any hope that Microsoft will restore the ability to change the titlebar color of Win32 programs. I will be brushing up on my x86 assembly and I will be modifying DLLs when RTM comes out to RESTORE this functionality. I *WILL* have that functionality - one way or the other!
for sure once the final release is out the hacking will begin and different themes etc. will be available? they could still add a lot of changes until rtm
hmm thinking reserving could be a bad thing? because if it downloads the files on your computer and someone changes something or deletes something before its ready to install, it could mess it up? Between reservation and when your upgrade is ready, the files you need for the upgrade will be downloaded to your PC to make the final installation go more quickly. Then, when your upgrade is ready after July 29, 2015, you get a notification that lets you get started with your upgrade.
BTW the GWX update now changed from optional to important, I first uninstalled it but now it installed in the background and I got that damn advertisement But, yes, why start another thread?

yes. date was announced, and can be reserved to be installed later. was thinking of doing that but it downloads the files and stores them on your computer way before its ready to be installed. so what are the chances of it installing wrong,failing, etc. if you make changes to your computer or accidently delete some of those files before it gets installed?

I still haven't received the Windows button on my taskbar on my MSI Windows 8.1 OEM copy and it has the latest updates!
yes u click on and u reserve your copy when is ready to D\L in WU they will notified u again.....remember is a limited time only so as soon as u see the icon on your tray reserved it....after the promotion is over u have to buy it.
