Ok I hate to be blunt about this but all the links on the first page of this sticky are down...
Either do one of three things...
    One delete the thread....
    two repair the links....
three wait around while I launch another thread or repair this one plz....

And yes I am askin why this is stickied if the usefulness of this thread has run out with the links being dead...
I will give sometime before I bring down the link for the repo thou...

Effective immediately this thread has been taken off the Office 2010 Repo's link as it has been dead...
There is now a English only link to all the Volume editions...
Sorry it had to be done...

How to get "Office Starter 2010 RTM"

How to get "Office Starter 2010 RTM":

    For USB version:

    Download:

    Folder Structure:

    For Setup version:

Find "Office Starter 2010 Beta" downloader file "SetupConsumerC2R-EN.exe". If you were Beta Tester, you already had it. Or google it.

    Open "SetupConsumerC2R-EN.exe" with Reshack.

    Go to: "String Table/188/1033"

    Change this lines:

    xx=tt

Save, and run "SetupConsumerC2R-EN.exe". I will start to download the contents automatically, and will install it. If you already downloaded the content manually, and made USB version, just execute USB version Word or Excel, than run "SetupConsumerC2R-EN.exe". It will just download updates, and install.

Thanks to moses388 for c2r url.

Cool, downloaded everything except the deviceState.xml (File not found) & put it on a USB exactly like mentioned and executed office.exe which then did some installing, works perfect, everything is activated.

This will come in handy :)

EDIT: The deviceState.xml file & a few other files/folders not mentioned get created once you run the program so all is good ;)

I can't get it to run, it says installed on unsupported device. I am running it off a Western Digital 1TB USB HDD.

It MUST to be run off a USB stick not from a HDD otherwise you get that error message.

I didn't try on "USB HDD". It works with USB Flash Drive. I tried on Internal HDD, and get your error. Looks like It doesn't like HDDs. I also tried to make "Virtual HDD Image/ISO/VHD/IMA", but I couldn't get it work.

Contents must be in root of drive, like "E:\".

Try to use "c2r.microsoft.com/tools/cleanc2r.zip", restart, retry.

Well I take it it checks if the device is listed as "Removable". My HD is USB but is seen as a normal HD in My Computer, I'll try it on a flash drive.
