If you read first post it says you can add visio installation files so i don't se why you cant try Project.
I tried using it on the Project installer, but it did not work. So, what would I need to add? The actual packaged installer, the install files from the .WW folder, or something else? If I already have Office 2010 installed and I run the switched installer will it just add Project as a component? Or would I have to uninstall everything and reinstall it all together?
Strange, since I don't get it to work on any of my original downloaded .iso files from MSDN/Technet. But I have solved my problem, using the English RETAIL version, replacing the ProPlus.WW and Standard.WW folders on my Norwegian .iso files with ProPlusr.WW and Standardr.WW. Then I got a Norwegian RETAIL version of Office 2010.
Hi guys What should I [browse] by this software?? the main "Retail .exe setup" downloaded from MS servers(~600 MB)?? or extract it and aim the small setup file created after that(starter I mean) ??
Worked fine with the MSDN retail version I downloaded few months back (en_office_professional_plus_2010_x86_515486.exe). Activated it using mini KMS activator 1.3. Thanks for making this. It makes the process quite easy. I have one suggestion: give an option to skip the process of creating the ISO, because people may want to install using the already extracted files.
You can by checking the add folder checkbox. When the window pops up just copy (NOT MOVE) the folder and that are all the files you need. @ others: It only works with proplus, not standard. I don't know about the trail version cause the xmls may be a bit different, I'll take a look at that. You can add visio/project etc files using the add files checkbox, but it can't convert (yet) other things than office proplus. If you use an official PROPLUS installer every lang should be converted ok.
Well, I always try to read before asking. But this time, I am really being confused. I would appreciate, if someone could help me understand, how to make this Office 2010 Installer Channel Switcher run on my PC. I have MS Framework 3.5 installed. However, the only thing I could find out thus far is that I am able to extract four msi installers from the file. That is all… Plane language tutorial would be helpful.
When I run .exe, it gives me an error. I can not post images of the errors (due too few postings in the forum). The error is as follows: Office 2010 Installer Channel Switcher has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for inconvenience. Error signature========================================= EventType : clr20r3 P1 : ihbgsxnhxn5hrdj2s3dj5rg2te0vlh0a P2 : 1.0.0.0 P3 : 4c39b1e7 P4 : office 2010 installer channel switcher P5 : 1.0.0.0 P6 : 4c39b1e7 P7 : d P8 : c6 P9 : system.invalidoperationexception
Oh... When does it happen, right after launching the app or when klicking a button? And what os are you running?
I'm going to include support for visio too. So you can convert a retail downloaded visio from msdn to volume also (just like you can with office now) and combine all files to 1 dvd. Maybe later I'll also add project support so you can make your own zwor select edition like dvd.
Thanks for this great tool Stannieman! any chance you can add projectpro and visio too? i tried manually adding them and created an iso successfully but it asked for a key for both upon install, so they did not convert to vl...
I am running xp with net framework 3.5, and get the same error. can anyone verify that channel switcher runs on xp?
