I used one of those archive.org exe's and it's now in trial mode, can't convert to volume. Is there a way to do so? Or use some sorta AutoRearm for trial mode?

I'd try an older version of Microsoft ToolKit by CODYQX4. I'll try to put one on a file sharing site soon...

You will probably need to shut down Windows Defender on Win 10

According to Office Toolkit 2.6.2, it says that license status is activated, error code is 0 as licensed...what am I doing wrong?

To be honest, if i were struggling as much as you, I would back up everything I need to keep and reinstall both Windows and Office. Something is scrambled somewhere, and it may save you time in the long run. I also don't really understand your obsession for Word 2010.

It's not an obsession. Like I said, I have nothing against newer versions - it's just that those above 2010 come with problems. Only 2007/2010 seem to work just fine, minus the RF stuff.

if the file is NOT personal... send it to me and I'll open it in OnlyOffice, OpenOffice, LibreOffice and any other opensource version you want and I'll send you the prints.

so you don't need to install anything... and you see if the result is to your liking.

I also want to see the end of this novel. =]

Does anyone know if document size/page limit can cause problems like the one I'm having?

The end of the novel is not it sight. It sounds to me like OP's underlying problem is more likely a windows problem than an office problem. Activation system has been tampered with, software protection service disabled etc. Repair install or complete reinstall needed.
