Do the downloads only need several tries to start or do they also halt while the file is already downloading leaving partial files behind?
Typically, they start fine. 60 KB/s is normal for my internet connection. When I download these files, they usually start at about 60 KB/s and slowly drop to <1 KB/s. Then they hang there for a little while and finally the download errors out. Using Opera, I can then resume the download so that it starts again at 60 KB/s but continues where it left off.
Unfortunately it looks like there is no way on the .NET framework to resume a file download, I'll have to write my own downloading class and that will take a few days.
I have the same problem! I downloaded the 9 files normally, but can not do the installation. Have ran the file with the office logo and also the file "click2run" and nothing happens. I need the online installer in my language in the same folder as the downloaded files? Sorry for my brazilian english
Damn, I totally forgot to update the tool because upgrading to visual studio 2012 RC messed up my visual studio and webmatrix installs (BTW never, EVER, upgrade any of those twos without removing previous versions first, if anything goes wrong during the install you're screwed and have to reinstall/uninstall all previous versions). As soon as the final VS2012 comes out I'll release the new version either using wget or just printing a file list that you can use in any download manager (esp. FDM or Flashjet that can easily handle websites whose connection keeps resetting).

I was getting the "problems with your internet connection" error have uninstalled and will reinstall with the updated files EDIT: YOU ARE A LEGEND THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU it works now and i have a nice install folder for future and a utility to keep it up to date
Where to obtain the "SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe"? The files on Mediafire mentioned in the starting post are down. I need a german version
If you already have one there's no need to update it. Those files can't be linked on the forum, you should ask somebody in the Office 2010 Starter thread to PM you a link to that file.

where can I find italian SetupConsumerC2ROLW i have only an old us-us version, and all link in previous post are offline. other question: I don't need to rename SetupConsumerC2R for offline install? thanks
