I can most emphatize with the third point. When the Office 2010 Activation and Conversion came out by "Raz0r", I found out it was a blatant rip of Toolkit batch (it was just a GUI wrapped around toolkit with variables renamed but you could see otherwise code and style was one to one copy). What didn't bother me that someone made a new tool, as much of the knowledge and stuff from mine was built off of shared knowledge, but rather, that the owner claimed to have optimized activation and made improvements, but all I saw were variable renames and I tested the script and it was MORE buggy (he broke universal architecture support which was one of the main motivations for me making the toolkit in the first place) than the V1.2 toolkit it was based off of. The whole tool was as I was planning to go to a GUI method, a "Me First, and I'll keep my tool one version number above yours" kind of thing and I'd wish that tool, knowing that not only is it a rip, but it is long old, buggy and totally unsupported, would be nuked from the forum

The problem is that some people just dont think.

They see an opportunity to get a couple of quick kudos, even if they didnt do any work themselves whatsoever, and suddenly their brain stops functioning.

Just as an example; with all files and the main script (which is like having the full source), how difficult do you think it would be even for the most unexperienced script kiddie to pack a virus into the app and release it into the public under ist real name?

Obviously not at all, with the consequence being that my reputation is in danger because all of a sudden there are versions that look like the original which ARE actually contaminated with crap.

For this unbelievable irresponsibility alone i would like to beat the living hell out of the sucker...

it's NOT OK to share your code and findings of localhost I agree with this BUT he said it was you who find out about it - he never lied about that.
also he aplogozied ("I DO apologize for putting it up ") and he know it was not OK AT ALL, all his intentions was for the community (since the persistent error comes more on x64 and your tool does not work on x64 - a lot of users use Cody toolkit that works fine on x64 but has the persistent error problem & you seems to go offline for a right reason with your x64 support project and you don't share this 'secret' privately with cody)
I don't justify his behivour at all, all of his intentions was sharing, he APPRECIATE your work and applogize.
like you letsgoawayhell is also talented, believe me he really did not mean to hurt you in any way (he does not even think about it and that is the problem and the mistake he did) and he aplogozied for that behaviour.
both of you why don't you forgive and stop this? PLEASE!!! you are reasonable guys and having one of you leave MDL will hurt the community.
Phazor I KNOW you are pissed off and you should but I don't think threatening to leave MDL if he is not is reasonable or clever approach, PLEASE think about this.
and think of another way solving this.
we need everyone and we surely need you both.

    This might be off-topic:

    1) Thanks for this!
    2) What's new or difference with this 2.1.4 regarding the old 2.1.3 or other previous versions?
    3) Why are you still using ZIP compression when you can get 9,660KB via 7zip instead of 16,156KB with your ZIP?

    You're welcome

Because not everyone uses 7zip, ZIP format is the "standard" and Windows doesn't need extra software to handle it. We don't want to tight the use of the Toolkit to third-party software :)

KMS activation is basically corporate activation. Every 180 days via host computer reactivation takes place

Tuvi, i appreciate your trying to mediate, but you dont quite understand the gravity of the situation.

I cant take a gun, shoot someone, and then say 'Sorry'.

He knowingly and willfully did irreversible damage for a motive so low thats its almost unbelievable such creatures really exist.

I mean come on..."he didnt want to share so i simply took it"? What kind of asshole-attitude is that - especially since i DID share it in LocalHost?

And then he even has the gall to sell the whole thing as his own. When all he did was slap his name on it.

Sorry, but thats a tad more than i can take...

As for x64, im not going to apologize for having been sick. (Which i still am, in case you care.) You could have waited, after all i kept you informed. Stealing from me and disrespecting me in such a manner only because im not here for 4 weeks is certainly no excuse.

Anyhow, i gotta go now before i loose my temper again. Im sick, full of medication and pissed off. And thats a deadly combination...

    hi cody

i just revisit this thread, and i see updated toolkit
do you recommend to update to this one ?

i didn't have problem with current toolkit (OTK2010V201) though
but if there better work around or fix then its better to update

and i am thinking to reinstall office 2010 to another language version
currently using english, and thinking to switch to japanese
just want to make sure, i will need to do activation again after reinstalling process right?

just little suggestion, isn't it good idea to have what changes (change log) in first post ? (if not permitted in forum, you can just link-out to external page or something like that)
also giving some hints for people like me, do updating needed

maybe you mention in this thread, if that so sorry but i haven't visiting this thread for quite some time so i don't know latest update rather than updated toolkit, and maybe you include the change log in your toolkit readme, i will check it now

    thanks in advance

Changelog is in the readme, but generally if you are already activated and AutoKMS is not having problems, no need to update/reactivate. Updates add new features and fix bugs, but if you are activated you can stay where you are (and get the update if needed later).

I think it would be usefull to post the latest 2 changelogs in the first post, as it would have answered this question :)

Hope you get better soon. As far as your last statement to tuvi it is the same as before as you've stated many times how you feel. No need to repeat the same thing over and over when people/members/admins are not listening. I say this cause you made your point clear and your feelings known the first time you spoke but your points and feelings are not being respected and acknowledged. Members and administration just doesn't want to see this clearly and clearly you we're taken advantage of, hijacked and disrespected in a really crappy way. They see it as a fight and a developer fight to be exact yet Hell is not developer he is member. I hate when bad things happen and no one wants to put their heart out there and be responsible as if their lives are too precious to be touched by an incident. All I can advice to others here is to not always be on the sideline watching the train wreck but to get off our asses and help the people involved which is what I did am or doing but our world and most people just want to pretend their above events and just let "another" person deal with everything which is just plain irresponsible. I also dislike it when certain individuals here pretend their all mystic and "centered" yet when they come off their hill top of meditation they loose their space dealing with the world/MDL and then they act like their above this incident and things should be perfect then they judge the individuals involved. That to me is hypocrcy and downright un-evolved. You know who you are :p...lol

So why am I here getting involved trying to heal this situation for both parties. Why me alone? I guess I care and I grew up with caring and responsible parents. In my own life I have similar issues with people who want power in their "status" but don't want to get their hands dirty almost like their superior to ever have any problems. One of the things here that we can notice is that neither you, me or other members are above others. We are all in the mosh pit of life on a planet. Their is no difference if we look deep into ourselves. This is why I thought it important to define this incident clearly as you have only I wanted myself and you to have mercy on this not respectful behavior of Hell. I was thinking bigger than punishing him cause that's what my parents would have done. So you are not alone here Phazor. I've got buttons to push if this happens again to you that I promise

I hope you are well and can see past this disturbance towars you when you feel that time is right to do so

And I will never blame a victim for being angry or hurt. That to me is the worst thing in the world next to blaming both parties for one persons mistake. That in essence is pure irresponsibility and no model for how to moderate through my perspective

    cody sorry to ask again

i just don't want to make anything wrong,
i read the readme but since i am not sure, so i decide to ask
if i am going to update from previous version, do i only have to click EZ-Activator ?
    or i need to remove/uninstall previous key/something else ?

    thanks again

If EZ-Activator activated you, then usually you would upon an update want to uninstall/reinstall AutoKMS/AutoRearm if they are installed. You can run EZ-Activator for good measure though.
