Dump Your HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Registration and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Registration keys using regedit export with ALL subkeys. the latter will NOT exist unless your OS is 64 bit therefore you won't have it to export if your OS is 32 bit. I want to see if office flips out with this key from different language. One person said EZ-Activator worked but office repaired, the license files and serials are the same but this key may be different. If office needs different key for different language that will be a bit annoying.
Anybody with a "Retail" copy of Excel 2010 32 or 64 Bit (Not A Suite containing Excel) can help me out. I improved the "License Add" function to be able to add ANY Retail license except Excel as I do not have the licensing files (This lets you use Retail keys, it doesn't install a retail serial as any key I included would be trial/blacklisted). I need the ExcelRWW.msi file. It will only be in a retail installer for Excel. It contains the licensing files I need to add to tokens file. If you installed retail excel then deleted installer, I should be able to extract the info I need from your tokens.dat.
Hello CODYQX4, I would need your help please since, despite extensive reading I am unsure on how to proceed. I have installed MICROSOFT.OFFICE.2010.SELECT.EDITION.RTM.VOLUME.X86.DVD.ENGLISH-WZT from a torrent I found in the Office Repository. I Am On Seven Ultimate X64. What should I do from here on? Checking licence it says that I am in the 30 days grace period. Before I had a beta Office installed. I also tried to check if i have retail or volume installed using Keycheck in your folder with lots of stuff in it but it opens a dos windows and does nuthin'. I read I have to delete pidgenx.dll and retry but which one? MS put this file everywhere in my system so which do I have to remove and what do I do to activate? I also read of backing up before trying anything but don't know what and how to back up. Thanks! P.s. In the Office Repo they still link to older versions of your tools and the link to this page is broken in case you can fix that.
Hi Cody I installed italian version of Office 2010 directly from installer using retail installer of Office 2010 Italian, no language packs. I activated it using your Ez-Activator.
Hi Cody, I notice that for the first time ever I am starting to receive updates for Office 2010 through the normal Windows Update channel.
To make sure nothing goes wrong due to your previous "Beta" install, uninstall office then use my toolkit "Delete All License Data" function. This will make sure no beta crap interferes with activation. Then install Office 2010 from that select edition (I recommend Pro Plus). Once install finishes, close setup and any office apps and run "Attempt Activation" function in the toolkit and look for it to say activated successfully. This will give you 180 days, try again if it fails (If it fails a ridiculous number of times something got messed up). Now Use the "Install AutoKMS" to install AutoKMS Scheduled Task. This installs a program in the windows folder that will reactivate at boot, keeping you locked at 180 days with worry of running out. OK that's what it looked like, I had to do a check and it came out OK. EZ-Activator and Toolkit work regardless of language. I got them too, its the first patch tuesday to update Office 2010, they are safe.
Even i received the office 2010 update..however when i go to validate office 2010 frm microsofts website it gives an error sayin office not installed..
I have a VL Select Edition DVD and I can't activate. I have tried the various methods, but it keeps telling me to run some cscript at the end. I can't even delete the data to start again because it keeps telling me nothing got deleted. Any ideas? Also on my other installation, I have the 180 days and activated, but I can't install the autoKMS, does it not work on x64?
I did a manual clean up after uninstalling the beta since it didn't remove properly so I just removed all licence without removing Office Plus, let every application repair itself, rebooted and than tried to activate and it worked fine. I tried to just activate it with the Grace period licence installed but it didn't work. Ok this I didn't succed to do. When I click on option 1 of your tool it just asks me if I want to remove AutoKMS. Maybe I installed it inadvertidly so is there any way to check if it is already installed and working fine? There is an AutoKMS.exe in Windows and in System32\tasks: is that it? Also what is the EZ-Activator32? Do I have to use it and if so which one? 32 or 64? I am on a 64 system but I installed Office 32. Many many thanks for your tool and help. I would suggest to pack a brief txt file in the archive since i had no idea I had to click on the cmd file to lauch the dos prompt.
If it says remove its already installed, that is the task and AutoKMS.exe. EZ-Activator will install it. You use 64 bit EZ-Activator on 64 bit OS (even if office is 32 bit). You can remove AutoKMS and reinstall it to make sure it works but if the task shows up in Task Scheduler AND its in Windows it will work fine. Are you activated now? If not are you in notifications mode or 32 day grace?
@CODYQX4 I appreciate your efforts in developing these Office 2010 tools...but if you want potential users to understand what the tools do and feel comfortable using them, then you really need to provide some proper documentation. And no...posts in a forum thread do not constitute "documentation". I've been following this thread from the beginning and what started out as one tool is now two different tools that have gone through multiple versions. Your explanation of what the tools do, in the first post on page 1, is as clear as mud and people shouldn't have to read through 28+ pages just to find out what's changed in the latest version. This project seriously needs 2 text documents: a ReadMe statement and a detailed ChangeLog or Version History. The ReadMe should explain, for BOTH the Office Toolkit and the EZ-Activator: - The purpose of the tool - The tool's functionality (What do each of the options do?) - The Windows and Office editions, platforms (x64 & x86) and licences (RL/VL) the tools are compatible with - What is installed and/or modified on the target system when the tools are run? - Can the tools be uninstalled or changes reversed? How? - Which tool should users run in what circumstances? (given the various possible installation configurations) Once prepared, the ReadMe should only require updating when there is a change in the tool's functionality or methodology. The ChangeLog should detail, for each release of BOTH the Office Toolkit and the EZ-Activator: - Version.Build number - Release date - Changes made The Changes Made should be further categorised into: - New features - Improvements to existing features - Bug fixes Obviously the ChangeLog should be updated with each new release and both documents should be included in a folder in the archive with the tools. You should be keeping a record of all this for you own benefit anyway... Again, I appreciate your work. This post is meant as a constructive suggestion - not as criticism. Regards.
I'm working on a Readme. I don't know about the changelog as I forgot what changed and most things between versions are simple bugfixes, and an occasional feature enhancement. Also The EZ-Activator is a One Size fits all simple solution, the toolkit is for more advanced use/configuration/testing.
