@Leolo you say it works if you set it to manual, login and the task launches it. Can you logoff after this occurs and network hosts still activate?
Activation works without logging in to the machine hosting the KMSServer service. Looking at the event log I can see that the KMSService starts very early in the boot process. I assume that your are familiar with srvany from the Microsoft toolkit.
Yes, and that tells me that KMSEmulator is not at fault. My AutoKMS is trying to serve the same purpose (to start KMSEmulator as a service). Thing is my service isn't working that early and I'm not getting any good info from the event log that is specific (the 7000/7009 errors can be many things and I've tried several fixes in vain).
I don't even need to login. I can set the service to manual, reboot the server and leave it idle waiting at the logon screen. The scheduled task is able to run and will successfully start the service even though nobody has logged in yet. But, to answer your question: yes. I can logon, and then logoff, and the service will still survive in RAM and network clients are able to activate.
I suppose that this problem could be circumvented in 2008 and later OS by setting the service to "delayed start". Unfortunately, there isn't such a thing in Server 2003 and older OS (only disabled, manual, and automatic)
Well, pinpointing the dependency exactly may help. It isn't SPP/OSPP since you don't have those. WMI is used, I'll check later and you can test with reg entries later.
Hi, I am trying to save my licence using the backup options. In the readme there is a reference to two types of backup options; Save keys and Restore keys options, but all I see is the save keys and reinstall keys options. What is the difference between these two? I'm trying to backup so I can restore after a reformat and I'm not sure what box to tick before clicking backup. Thanks!
anyone know where we can get a legit install of office 2010 so i can use this activator on it? a torrent or something? thanks, madLyfe
May i ask if 2.1.5 beta solve pushing Rearm Available button, which deactivate Office 2010? I did not see a comment on this. Sorry if i miss something...
I don't think so. I can't seem to pinpoint the solution. The 2.1.5 revolves around AutoKMS Service testing.
Do you know another way to view how many "rearm" remain? And is it important to know? as each time i check i always have almost 180 days. I understood that at each reboot, counter is reset to 180 days. Am i wrong?
MS gave us no other way and it's only needed for IORRT/AutoRearm. Follow TS recommendation. Anyone having this issue: Does installing AutoRearm mess up or not? It does a rearm count check but should restore backup like Available button is supposed to.
Hi guys, sorry to interrupt your hard work. I installed visio2010 premium VL today and hit repair button for visio and then tried to activate but noticed there's no activation just for visio. Anyways I just hit the activate button and then error in activation came up for both my professional plus and visio. So now I borked my office professional plus too... I noticed that you're supposed to retry a bunch of times and I have a few times but before going any further, what should I be doing instead of just hitting the activate button over and over again? I am not using ez-activator, plan to manually use autokms when needed. Many thanks for your time.
