0x80070001 this is an error I have not seen before. Also, EZ-Activator says success but does NOT list any KMS products, meaning it could not detect them. There is something very unusual with your PC as it is acting in a way I have not seen before. I'm going to look into the MSRT idea though.
Looking up 0x80070001 with ospp.vbs says incorrect function. First, browse to OSPPSVC.exe and give me its file version (should be 14.0.370 or something like that) Then, because I think parts of office are shot, uninstall Office 2010, then run the toolkit uninstaller, then reinstall office 2010. I think either things are broken with OSPPSVC or permissions are shot, still doesn't explain why KMSEmulator is acting up though.
Then the guys needs to do repair install or clean install the RTM in win 7 repo to end this ongoing dialogue. Your the best with office so it's not like you haven't given the best info as has all other 2010 enthusiasts here have
@Superbank can you try Bosh solution and report if successful? I can add this fix to toolkit to prevent this issue again but I don't know anyone else with this error so I need feedback.
Thanks I have successfully activated my office professonal pro. Can I download updates for office from windows update?
Migrating to Windows 7 The reasons I am not migrating to Windows 7 include the following: My old desktop computer is not fast enough. I am afraid that probably Windows 7 is consuming more system resources as compared to Windows XP. The general system's performance may be degraded. What do you think? I am afraid of various incompatibility issues with my old software, you never know. Generally I have a hundred of various programs installed and configured. Some of them may stop working with Windows 7 I am afraid... I don't want to spoil my working environment. Please correct me if I am wrong...
Can you try the fix? I don't want them to talk you into a nuke/upgrade without first figuring out if Bosh's link fixes your issue.
