Just to add my experience and feedback if it will help here - Success for me on a VMWARE 7.1.4 machine running Win 7 PRO SP1 x64, fully up to date. Office 2010 with VISIO 2010 too. Running OTK version 2.1 Yes! 2.1...much older version I know. I downloaded the updates since I have 7 other PCs to update and manually installed them, first Office SP1 then VISIO SP1. No problems. Everything updated correctly and runs fine. Even after total shut downs, reboots, etc. Now, the question I have is...should I use a more current version? Just to protect against future problems? These are VM machines so I can always go back to a previous snapshot.
You just use toolkit to do "Add Updates" button with SP1 exe. It just runs SP1 with the switches needed to integrate/extract, which are the same as Office 2007.
I don't think my dumb ass grasped what you just said. Does that mean the "Add Updates" buttom would install sp1 into existing Office 2010 installation or actually turn the Office 2010 copy into an sp1 integrated one?
Integrates it, so if you install the copy it installs SP1 automatically. To install in existing install you just run the exe like normal.
Thanks so much for your kind response. I've already fix it doing something very similar to your advice. Kind regards!
Does this activator cum toolkit uninstall the kms service (if installed)? Suppose I have installed the KMS activator as a service so that i do not have to ractivate every 180 days and i wish to remove it for some reason. Can I with this toolkit cum activator? Is it also possible to uninstall if the activation and service was installed by another tool. Plenty werre available a few months back until this turned out to be the winner?
@CODYQX4 can your toolkit works on integrating both sp1 32bit and 64bit update files to create a combo office 2010 volume combo image? i have a volume combo image file without sp1 (thanks to wzor)...
I'm sorry but I need your help to integrate SP1 into Office 2010 with "Office 2010 Toolkit and EZ-Activator". Can you help me ??? THX
I'll give it a shot. Open the Tool. Click on the "Customize Setup" tab. If you have the Office 2010 files already unpacked, click on "Set Installer Path" and point it to "setup.exe" file in the packed folder. If you don't have it unpacked, you will have this extra step to unpack it. Click on "Extract Setup" and point it to the Office 2010's exe. This will unpack it to the same folder where you had the Office 2010 exe (in it's own folder). Now that it's unpacked, click on the "Set Installer Path" as above and point it to the "setup.exe" file you now have. Now click on "Add Updates" and point it to where you have the Office 2010 sp1's exe" That's it, it will integrated sp1 into the unpacked folder. You will see how much bigger it is after the integration. Now if you ever need to install Office 2010 from scratch, you will have sp1.
