You said you had "standard" retail right? I recommend for the highest success rate, take whatever version of Retail you have (Standard), then use the toolkit's "Add Licenses", select "VL" then select the version of office from VL (Standard). You should now have your old retail key AND key KMS installed, and office will use both, I recommend you uninstall the "retail" key (use the toolkit Product Key manager and select remove key, then enter last 5 digits of retail key). Then do the "attempt activaton" to activate KMS key. (If you activated that retail key on that PC, renstalling it will retain activation as long as you don't delete license info or uninstall office or reformat/reinstall os). This will "convert" you to VL. I recommend not using the backup as it can fail. (In my latest work (not released yet), I cannot seem to get backup to work once you reinstall OS (though I could switch from 30 day grace/180 day KMS/Pro Plus MAK permanent perfecty until reformat), but I rigged it to restore your old state if it fails so office doesn't get broken.) In this state you will be using 180 day KMS license, you can use the keygen or get a real KMS (from MS), though I don't know how to set it up. To keep your 180 days fresh reactivate using toolkit or install AutoKMS (wich I have not tested on server but it should work just like XP). You can also install retail standard keys since that is what you had before conversion.
Hi Cody, very nice gui for toolkit 2.0 Do you plan to add some kind of gui to ez-activator as well? I mean for example a progress bar or a few popup windows explaining what the tool is doing
I have uninstalled Office, then I have launched the Office cleanup tool, then I have installed Office (Office 2010 plus x86 without code, in Italian, on Windows 7 64 bit) then I have launched EZ-Activator. All as before (Activation status). I have launched EZ-Tools and cancelled all the lincenzes but then Office has regularly opened without reconstructing nothing and always in formality "Activation status." I believe that the tool of cleaning doesn't succeed in cancelling all the information of the preceding installations (to 32 and 64 bit). Where to find this registry key? Finally a tool with "human" interface ! Good job, attends with impatience the release of ver 2.0. Thanks for all. Office is in VL format.
hi cody just want to say thanks for your tool and work i am wondering, did u try Microsoft.Office.2010.x86.OPK oem yet? and did it work ? (offline activation) also i am wondering, can i use x86 MAK key for x64 office 2010 ? does it work ? and regarding your tool, if i success activating office and use your auto kms does it still have some sort of bugs, like failed with activating at later point because it stuck or something like that? i have read that some people stuck, so i am wondering if it possible to stuck after first activation thanks again
when do you want to release GUI version? WOuld really like to test it! What I dont understand in your toolkit is: Whats the difference in installing AutoKMS (number 1) and running Keygen to activate (number 2)?? Do I need to run both number or should number 2 enough to activate? What does AutoKMS do? Is AutoKMS just a windows service, that runs Keygen (number 2) automatically after every reboot?
AutoKMS is an executable, not a windows service . When the AutoKMS is installed a scheduled task is created to run the AutoKMS @ every startup but you can modify that in the task shceduler. The Keygen.exe is ran too but the processes are killed after that, so they won't be consuming system resources. Installing AutoKMS and attempt to activate are different steps done in the activation process, but the toolkit has them as a separate functionality. In the EZ Activator they are both performed. About the GUI version, it will probably be relesased in three weeks, since we have to migrate all the functionality and we're trying to make a more reliable toolkit. We're probably going to release a beta version for those who want to help us testing, this special version will create a log file to check all the activity of the toolkit. For those who don't want this log to be created, best wait for the official release of the Office 2010 Toolkit 2.0 Hope it's all clear now
OEM thing was useless its for installing click2run Starter or trial HomeStudent/Business or pro trial that can later use a retail key. I don't think we will ever see the OEM_ByPass key as OEMs typically include trial or retail office. The bitness of office is irrelevant to the key type so you can use that MAK. Also, if you succeed at activating once it shouldn't get stuck. Some people get stuck where KMS keygen/activation just absolutely will not work and it is not a fault of my tools as any KMS activator has this problem (I had to rearm to make mini-kms or tuvi hack work once.) Yeah AutoKMS does activation at boot (It will try up to 25 times, and tell you if it failed 25 times as there is something wrong if it fails 25 times). It then closes and doesn't run until you restart.
Thanks for your great tool. Used EZ-Activator on an untouched ProPlus VL install. Toolkit shows it is activated and Office does not nag to be activated. But, MS online validation does not see any installed version of Office nor does MGADiag (N/A:109). As long as it's running I don't really care but any idea why Office seems to be hiding from MS validation? Read all 35 pages and the only mention of the issue I found was in post #274.
Hi Cody I don't know if you are already aware about that but some antiviruses detects autokms.exe as a virus and suggest to delete it For example here is the report of Microsoft Security Essentials installed on my PC: I fixed the problem setting it as "allowed" but maybe you can find a way to avoid the detection at all
Validation doesn't seem to be complete for 2010, everyone I heard say they validated 2010 had 2007 previously installed, therefore it was validaing 2007. The latest OGA is 2.0.48.0 which is very old.
Yeah its very difficult to do so, at some point no matter how I code AutoKMS, it has to run that keygen which gets flagged by some AV (especially MSE) as a virus.
Makes sense, EZ-Activator was used on a new Win 7 Enterprise install that never had 2007 on it. Thanks again.
I'll try your procedure tomorrow and let you know the results. Thanks for the prompt reply. This is what I get for actually trying to be legit!
Yeah being legit with MS is called getting screwed. I actually used a legit retail win 7 key on my dad's laptop, had difficulties activating online, and once it got stuck in notifications mode (though legit). I then used Daz Loader on the laptop, never had a problem, then updated the BIOS (which updated SLIC to 2.1), then removed loader and installed SLIC and OEM cert. Still no problems. And the sad thing is MS has some of the least strict licensing. try dealing wiht Adobe, or worse, AutoCAD (several thousands for a product only good at one thing + several thousands for another product good for one thing, plus the licensing is ridiculous).
Office activated!!!!! Thanks, Thanks, Thanks, Thanks. In menu "File/Guide I see "Product avtivated" e nothing about 30 or 180 days. Its forever? By
Not forever. if you want to know run this command in command prompt cscript "%PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /dstatus
Hi Ran your tool today. Installed a Standard VL key, removed my retail key (I had said standard but it was actually Home & Business since there's no retail "standard" anymore) and all worked as expected (30 days grace period). However, when I tried to run to activate office through option 2, I kept getting ERROR CODE: 0x8007000D. Tried it at leats 50 times. Unlike others before though, Office didn't go in notification mode. Is uninstalling/reinstalling your proposed solution ?
