Maybe someone good at this kind of thing could help me. I need to gut a Windows PE WIM down as far as possible and it be able to run batch file to delete WPA hive. Anything that is not needed to achieve that can die. Default size is 109 MB, but certaintly gutting out all non english language, all non used fonts, and especially dealing with unneeded drivers and WinSXS would dramatically reduce the size (WinSXS is the biggest). I'm using Windows PE 3.1, unless a different PE comes at a smaller size and is easier to cut down. I'd like to get to small double digit (maybe single if possible) MB where downloading the WIM is easy.
@cody What happens if you run EZ-Activator in VLK version of office 2010 , will it convert or mess up with the files or just do autokms? . Will this work on Office 2010 sp1 integrated VLK released by MS on september 09?
help! something weird is going on... I'm running 24 hours a day office 2010 toolkit with autokms service installed and running on one of my computers (ip 10.0.0.1). When I try to activate the other computers against the kms computer from inside the home network (meaning 10.0.0.1) - it works (windows and office). However, when i try the global internet ip / dns name i get the following error: Code: Error: 0xC004F074 The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. The Key Management Service (KMS) is unavailable. The port 1688 is open and the ip/dns name is right in the ini files any idea? thanks
Your home network is private, you can't just use your home IP on the internet. You may be able to look into port forwarding and forward port 1688 to your home PC, if your network situation lets you do that. Also, unless you are using old AutoKMS Service (which I killed off and have a different tool to do what you are doing coming out), then AutoKMS doesn't activate other PC's (so I assume you are running that service).
I used my public ip address and i did port forwarding. I also used canyouseeme.org on the kms server computer to check that 1688 is open. Regarding the version - I'm using office 2010 toolkit 2.1.7 beta 1 and I've installed the autokms from within. I'm definitely able to activate other computers using this version, but only if they are on the same network and I use the private ip (10.0.0.1). The problem is that I can't do it when i'm using the global internet ip address.
Help!! Please help me!!! Before 3 months I downloaded and installed Office 2010 trial. I did the activation via internet connection. I got 60 days trial period. On the 59 day I used the command "ospprearm" to get another 60 days. But Office was only extended by 30 days. I tried to re-activate via the internet, but the error appeared (0xC004C032). Why I could not be extended for 60 days? I've done something wrong? Next I did next, bigger mistake. I missed another 30 days of the extended trial period. Now, trial period is expiered. When I'm trying to "ospprearm", I get an error (slui.exe ....). What should I do? Should I uninstall / reinstal Office? Or restore Windows? Do I need download and use Office 2010 Toolkit or EZ-Activator? How to use this tools? Sorry for these questions, but I'm rather a beginner... Maybe the answers are somewhere here in this forum but I can not find it in those 400 pages... Ann
I like to convey my thanks to CODYQX4 for this post. Thanks to CODYQX4, Bosh, letsgoawayhell and ZWT for their effort for developing Office 2010 Toolkit and EZ-Activator. This toolkit worked like a magic even in the hand of a novice like me.
Those 60 day trial keys aren't renewable (they are good for one 6 day period). You probably used up your rearms. You are going to have to use the EZ-Activator and it will convert your Office to VL and you'll be using KMS then.
6 or 60 day? It's mean that activated versions cannot be rearmed? But one time I was able to rearm (30 days extra)! After activation! Nothing do not understand... I rearmed my Office only one time! Can't I do something else? Without these tools? Nothing will help to reinstall/uninstall Office? Or maybe get a new trial key from MS? Or restore Windows to an earlier point, switch date three days ago and try to rearm? Ann
CODYQX4 Hi I m using auto ez-activatoroffice to make an auto installation and activation runs great, but this is not working on computers that does not have netframework installed, is there a way you just covert the /ez-activatoroffice function to run in a bat, so it does not need netframework?
You can check rearms with OTK to be sure, but unless you install AutoRearm and have at least one rearm, it is going to need KMS. I don't know if you can just reinstall another trial key and activate,.
