Never seen that, can you and someone else confirm this occurs, and do so with the updated Microsoft Toolkit.
Yesterday i tried another laptop. Also Win7 x64, office 2010. Same toolkit. Same problem. no amount of rebooting or scandisks fixed it. Laters i'll try the new Toolkit on a VirtualBox Win7 x64. I also tried on a test server... Windows Server Enterprise 2007 sp2 32bit Office 2010 Pro Plus v14.0.6106.5005 32bit Logged in as Me (administrator) Toolkit & Ez Activator 223 - default settings. all good created NewUser, logged off. Logged on as NewUser, error message, pc reboots Upon 2nd reboot the new user account seems to be fine. (and office is activated). Error msg is "cmd.exe - application error. The app failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)." I have a simple mapping script in the startup folder, which i think this relates to. In the System logs....... 1074) The process AnyDVD Leftover Killer 1.5.exe has initiated the restart of computer W8 on behalf of user W8\c for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found Reason Code: 0xffffffff Shutdown Type: restart (which is odd as i havent used that prog for months, its not even on the pc, nor mentioned in the registry.) 26) Application popup: cmd.exe - Application Error : The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click OK to terminate the application. 1074) The process C:\Windows\system32\winlogon.exe (W8) has initiated the restart of computer W8 on behalf of user W8\c for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found Reason Code: 0x500ff Shutdown Type: restart Hope this helps. Can you point me to some text explaining how to remove/undo all changes made by this toolkit. I'd like to try new toolkit faster than reimaging/new virtualbox. Thanks if you can.
Well the thing is does little change. It can change the license state of office which cannot be unchanged but this doesn't seem like it effects this case. The only other thing OTK changes is it installs AutoKMS.exe/ini/log and Scheduled Tasks, which are 100% removed if you install AutoKMS. If anything is causing an issue, may be the task. I don't see anything in your log that connects to my tool.

As far as I know and tested, you should exclude the following files from scanning in ESS: (1)- vbc. exe (found here - C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\vbc) (2)- AutoKMS.exe (found here - C:\Windows\AutoKMS\AutoKMS.exe) Hope this helps.
Hi fellow tech guys, this is my first post here. To make a long story short, I had Office 2010 Home and Student Trial installed on my PC, then I uninstalled it, ran the Microsoft FixIt 50450 (Remove Office) and tried to install Office 2010 Professional Plus. During the installation appeared an error message that read: Error 25004: The product key you entered cannot be used on this machine. This is most likely due to previous Office 2010 trials being installed. It seems that the PC remembers that they was Office already installed and it won't let me install it again. I was googling to find an answer but every solution that I found eventually lead to an OS reinstall which is something I want to avoid at any cost. There are way too many editions, versions and licences of Office 2010 and I lost track what are the differences. Can someone please tell me if there is ANY version of Office 2010 which can be installed on this PC? Thank you
You can try my Office Uninstaller but those trials tend to screw up the registry so bad that it usually doesn't help in your case. You probably will have to reisntall the OS and never touch a trial disk again.
The virus detection kills off what is needed to reactivate, but you are staying activated because you have 180 days. You need to exclude AutoKMS and vbc.exe for AutoKMS to not fail like that.
If I exclude AutoKMS it will never reset 180 days. So I added the autokms and vbc to AV and FW, and I also found that i accidentally blocked the Office Software Protection Platform Service (OSPPSVC.EXE) in my firewall. So I also allowed access in my ESS3 for OSPPSVC.EXE and added C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\vbc.exe And now it reset 180 days each reboot. Thanks mohamedkamel . Good peace of software, but definitely requires detailed manual, which will allow to avoid millions questions in this forum. Thank you CODYQX4.
Good afternoon! Is there any way to manually reset the 180 days of grace? I know that Office Toolkit automatically resets it to 180 days everyday but my security program blocks the actions of Office 2010 Toolkit components (autokms.exe, ksemulator.exe). Now I have 178 days and I need help on how to reset it back to 180 days manually. I can temporarily disable my security program for the sake of resetting the license to 180 days. Thank you
I gave it a try but with no success, I'll reinstall the OS... Thank you anyway, keep up doing tha great job!
Thank you. My Office Professional Plus and Visio Premium licenses have both been reset to 180 days but MS Project Professional activation fails all the time and it's stuck with 177 days.
"Failed to inject memory" I'm sorry, when i was searching on google it directed me to this forum hence this question. Hope you guys aren't offended! when i first tested this toolkit, the message it gave me upon clicking ez-activator was "Failed to inject memory!", so after fiddling with the buttons which includes installing autokms and autokms auto task, and activating license keys, installing license files and product keys, it still showed the same message "Failed to inject memory!" sorry for the trouble guys, but may i know how can i solve this? -edit- when i tried clicking on activate, i got this: Failed to inject memory! ---Processing-------------------------- ---------------------------------------- Installed product key detected - attempting to activate the following product: SKU ID: 8c5fa740-5dca-43f9-be1b-d0281bcf9779 LICENSE NAME: Office 14, OfficeProPlus-Trial LICENSE DESCRIPTION: Office 14, TIMEBASED_EVAL channel Last 5 characters of installed product key: BDBKG <Product activation successful> ---------------------------------------- Installed product key detected - attempting to activate the following product: SKU ID: 8ce7e872-188c-4b98-9d90-f8f90b7aad02 LICENSE NAME: Office 14, OfficeAccess-KMS_Client LICENSE DESCRIPTION: Office 14, VOLUME_KMSCLIENT channel Last 5 characters of installed product key: T7DDX ERROR CODE: 0x8007000D <Product activation failed> ---------------------------------------- hope that helps? ><
Sounds like it is failing to inject the PID but still run. The first activation is not KMS but Trial, the second might never work if the PID doesn't get set. Really the PID change should work, and I'm not sure why it isn't. Try without any AV but I'm starting to worry that it doesn't work in some cases as some people have had fails for no logical reason.
Please try with Microsoft Toolkit instead of this tool, then post there. Also, I've made errors in this case more specific in an upcoming build. I'm waiting for Josh Cell to be able to test an Office MAK with Phone Activation on it but I'm thinking about changing the way I do the PID. I can pre edit the data I use to inject KMSEmulator into vbc so it has the PID. I'd still have to change it on the fly or stop/start in EZ-Activator though as it can change multiple times there.
Is your Project Professional also a Volume license? You could try removing the license and adding it again, using the "License" tab
