The EZ-Activator is going great. It now leaves activated stuff (Retail or MAK alone), otherwise change MAK key to KMS or if retail convert to VL.

I also figured out how to make it remove the old retail key after conversion.

The license add part is still broken though which is needed for the Retail2VL conversion.

When we release 2.0 beta we're going to need people that test all the funtionalities, if you want to help us with that I'll PM you when we release the beta, let me know.

And about the toolkit develompent: The License Add and the Ez Activator are finished, but we still have to do some not_so_easy startup checks, and prepare a good readme document since all the funtionality is spreaded in the UI.

Thanks for these utilities, am about to activate Office 2010 for the first time.

I presume that toolkit v1.4.0.5 and activator v1.4.1.0 are the latest versions currently available, and if/when any updates occur that the links on the first page of this thread will be updated accordingly (no impatience involved, was just wanting to make sure that I have the latest versions before attempting to use them)?

After 180 days, just activate it again, you can repeat this as many time as you want, you only have to do it twice a year..

the tool is not working on win7 64bit, when i click EZ-Activator64.exe, nothing happen, no pop up windows
tested on XP sp3(virtualbox) the tool is working great.
    any solution

    EDIT:
    Found solution
just change Path string type, from REG_SZ to REG_EXPAND_SZ
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment

1 Double click “Path” and copy it’s Data Value “…%SystemRoot%system32;%SystemRoot%; …” to avoid to rewrite it again
    2 Delete the “Path”
3 Create New -> Expandable String Value
4 Give “Path” as the name, double click it, and Paste the value copied in the step 1 to the “Value Data” field
    restart

I think I may have AutoKMS V2 ready soon, it will cause no change to the way the toolkit works but AutoKMS will be more efficient and clean. It has to be embedded into the tookit so I'll likely re-up the beta with a new link with the new AutoKMS for testing.

It only activates KMS (So it doesn't waste time activating/reactivaing online non-KMS or waste MAK activation) and attempts each product individually up to 10 times. If it fails that many times something is probably wrong and it will popup a messagebox, otherwise it is silent but it now makes a log so you can see what it does or if errors occured.

BETA Link now has AutoKMS 2 included instead of 1.4.1.

Hi, tried using the Toolkit (v2.0 BETA) and receive the following error message when attempting to run EZ-Activator:

Error: The Software Protection Platform service is not running.
    Current State: Stopped
    Run: cscript ospp.vbs /osppsvcrestart

The same error dialog box also appears when attempting to 'Check' current activation status.

    Screenshot: h**p://img514.imageshack.us/img514/6040/errorhb.jpg

    Am running/have installed:

    Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit
Office 2010 Professional Plus x86 VL

Am I not correct in assuming that the Software Protection Platform is a Windows 7/Vista/Server 2008 service that doesn't actually exist on Windows XP?

EDIT/UPDATE: Okay, so it would seem the 'Software Protection Platform' being referred to is a part of Office itself rather than the O/S.

And, having since entered 'cscript ospp.vbs /osppsvcrestart' into the run box and clicked OK (I presume that was what the dialog box was suggesting needed to occur?), 'EZ-Activator' successfully activated Office on the second attempt. :worthy:
