Thanks for prompt reply, CODYQX4. I think that there is AutoKMS log file with .txt extension in C:\Windows. Pretty much, it would state that Office is successfully activated upon every startup. Then again, if I uses my computer for several months, won't that log file be big? Is it okay that I delete some previous entry inside log file; or, can I delete that log file since probably a newer log file will be recreated? I just want to know what is extent of action that I can perform without affecting the activation. Thanks to you, CODYQX4 and others as well for this great toolkit.
Thanks to CODYQX4 and others as well for this great toolkit. I have a question. I have used this tool to activate 7 office 2010 installations with no major problems. It works as advertised. I have a server setup I would like to use for the mini KMS service. Would it be possible to direct the computers on the network to the server for auto renewal as needed? This would then only require the service to be run on 1 computer. Thanks for the great tool. Chuckles
In that case you would have to run the keygen permanently on that server and set hosts to use that server. Whether that will actually work I don't know but its the basic idea. Keep in mind I use AutoKMS which runs and then removes keygen and KMS host after use. It does not run 24/7.
Okay. So I've tried just about every activator and version of 2010 and with whatever I try, I get the same problems with the activators. I must be doing something wrong. On the EZ-Activator, after it says "Here's a detailed explanation of the problem:", I get blank space. On the other popular activator, I go to use it and it comes up with strange errors itself. Basically, I have the same problem with both of my computers. I even used Microsoft's Fix-It utility to make sure I removed the 2010's. Any suggestions?
Even though now the EZ-Activator says it successfully activated Office 2010, I went to go check the activation status and it says there are no keys installed. The other activator still doesn't work at all.
Chances are if it says that something is wrong with office. Since no KMS products detected EZ-Activator didn't recognize KMS fail. Open Office and it will probably repair. This is a sign Office is really screwed up, you may need to reinstall.
That's the thing. I've tried multiple versions of 2010 Select, Professional Plus, Professional. I've uninstalled and reinstalled just about each one. I don't see what I'm doing wrong if all of them are having the same problems. And yes, I've tried repairing each one and get the same results.
@CODYQX4:- this worked !!! it also guided me very well!! after rearm, then ADD through license management and then EZ-Activator.....180 Days Validity !!!! As far as I understand after 180 days it will reactivate without my interference? keygen.exe always asks for permission through firewall, if I block it then will it cause any problem?? pls advice thanks in advance...
AutoKMS should be installed and take care of reactivation. I'd allow the keygen and add it to AV exclusions as well to prevent security apps from interfering and therefore preventing successful reactivation.
@ CODYQX4:- thanks for Lightening reply !!! have allowed the keygen.exe through firewall and autoKms to exclusion in Threatfire + Avira. Threatfire and Avira both flagged it red....I hope exclusion doesn't causes any problem? Thanks again for letting me use a software which was out of my wallets reach.
They flag it mainly due to keygen. Allowing it is safe. People have looked to make sure its safe. If it wasn't safe we'd be a part of the world's largest botnet and even in that case I eliminate keygen when done with it preventing anything like that (mini-kms runs it 24/7 with the 1688 port constantly open which is stupid given office will only use the keygen if running 24/7 every 7 days).
I learned a new word today "Botnet". Wiki having a long article on this.. anyways I have restarted my computer several times and Office 2010 is running fine. Thanks for your guidance and quick support. will keep following this article for new information. regards. drtank.
okay issue. i thought this was sucessful in adding my retail key back in but it was not. i did the token backup and then reinstalled win7 and then installed office 2010 and used your tool to restore my key back. it was fine for the first day but then said there was a problem with the key and i once again had to enter it killing yet another use of one of my technet keys arghhh, i reinstall windows so often im burning through my office 2010 technet keys way to fast any thoughts or help with this? i have tried on three systems without success.. thanks
By token backup you mean Tokens Only? Do a Full Restore. Also, backup does not always work proper, but I help it from bricking office. I usually save technet keys as last resort as I reinstall monthly.
I'm thinking about for activation and AutoKMS allowing custom server. This would allow people to use their own KMS servers (real or emulated). Also thinking about AutoKMS.ini for settings (Like logging, server, attempts, etc). May not get to it for awhile as I'm very busy. EDIT Something like this in a ini file. #Global DisableToolkitIfNotInstalled=true KMSServer=127.0.0.1 UseKMSKeygen=true #AutoKMS ActAttempts=10 DisplayErrorOnFail=true Logging=true KMSServer=127.0.0.1 UseKMSKeygen=true #EZ-Activator MAK2KMS=true StarterSub2OEM=true Retail2VL=true RemoveRetailKeys=true InstallAutoKMS=true ActAttempts=25 RearmIfFail=false LicInstallIfFail=false LicDeleteIfFail=false #License Backup LicenseBackupPath=.\Backups
I mean horde them while using KMS or leaked MAK. I have some MSDN Visio/Project/OneNote keys for 2010.
so no way to do this every time then huh? did paymyrent ever release his tool for office? i know he got banned but anyone ever see if he released his office token restore?
