Task now seems to work on XP and Windows 7 using the same code vs having XP specific code. AutoKMS appears to launch fine and operate now using the task, but I figured out that it isn't possible to do the "Display Error On Fail" with AutoKMS running the way it does so I scrapped it (You can still do logging to see failure, which is back to default now). I am making sure AutoKMS and AutoRearm work. I broke AutoRearm's restore backup because running it as a system task gave it a current directory different from the exe file's directory, so I had to make it get the exe directory and set current dir to that before restoring, which now works. The main changes from BETA 4 to next release are trying to ensure AutoKMS/Rearm actually launch. That and updated readme as I did not update it in BETA 4.
Is there a way I can install Microsoft Office 2010 without entering the product key, and then using this tool?
You could use a VL installer, otherwise you need a key. Stannieman has a Channel Changer that works on Pro Plus that can make the installer VL then you won't need to install a key.
Is this Stannieman tool available here? If so, do you know where I should look? Thanks for your help.
Does anyone know if this version of Microsoft Office 2010 is indeed a not preview version: 14.0.4730.1010
2.0 is final now. If you used BETA 4 to install AutoKMS or AutoRearm, uninstall it using BETA 4 before going to 2.0 final. 2.0 final does not use the Run key and does not check for its existance. From now on to avoid massive beta periods, features will be released individually in small releases. Readme will contain a changelog (not betas though).
Hey, thanks for all your help. Was finally able to get Office 2010 working, after hours of downloading and installing. Couldn't have done it without you.
Thanks dear Reign_Of_Freedom, now it seems fine, just one more thing, instead of scheduling it to run at every restart, can i also schedule it to run once a month ?
Yep, all you need to do is go to Task Scheduler, click on Task Scheduler Library, Click on AutoKMS right click that scroll to properties then click on Triggers Tab click on that task then hit the edit button on the bottom and you can set it up the way you want then hit Ok then your done.
Do I really need V2 beta 4 tools to uninstall it? Because I don't have it anymore. Do you have a link for it? thanks
When using Key Manager - Check - The activator (beta 4) crashes and says Office 2010 Toolkit has stopped working - possibly because Starter was already uninstalled. The key and license information was removed with Key Management and License Management. All License info of Starter, Office plus and Visio was removed and automatically restored and I had to reactivate with EZ-Activator. Just a few clicks and everything was sorted. Outstanding tool you have developed! Congratulations!
There was a setting called "Display Error On Fail" which did not work, as I run the task as SYSTEM (else I would need your pass and you might get UAC prompt). Unfortunately this made it impossible to show the error using a MessageBox. So I made it default as its the only indication of failure. You can still disable it if you want by changing the settings.
