Could you give as much info about your PC (like OS and bitness) and Office as possible? You have some scenario which is causing EZ-Activator to not detect your office apps/licenses, so it does absolutely nothing at all and therefore does not activate. Have you reinstalled office? Was it due to problems? There is some scenario or condition leading to inability to detect. If it detected Pro Plus it would have said activating Pro Plus under "Activating KMS Products" then if it failed thrown error else say it worked.
The entry in step 7 should be "[INSTALLLOCATION]\Office 2010 Toolkit.exe". I tested it, but for some unknown reason the toolkit crashed. See if it crashes for you too and report it to Cody.
Well toolkit was never meant to run this way... I also don't see the point of just opening toolkit as its not automatic. I'd just rig a batch file to run it after setup.exe closes vs the OCT thing (which is VL only). Does this launch it before office is totally 100% installed? If not this will not work. Also toolkit needs .NET 3.5 for XP users. EDIT: Another idea. Toolkit must be able to make its ini file. If you are running from read only source (like CD or mounted ISO) it will not be able to make the ini which could result in a crash.
Yeah the ini file would have been the problem, but the INSTALLLOCATION is %PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Office\ and setup is run as Administrator. So the child process will have admin rights too. I think it won't work because I tried running my script through OCT and it runs in invisible mode. So even if Office Toolkit is launched the window will not be visible. OCT launches additional apps post install.
Yeah, one reason I never really bothered with OCT. AutoKMS could be used in OCT if it is copied to Windows folder and then run, but it doesn't have the autofix abilities of EZ-Activator. As in if KMS activation doesn't work AutoKMS will just log a failure. Another reason not to bother with it. I don't see silent switches for toolkit for awhile (I have other features planned.) and if I add them I'll write all the output to a log.
OS=Windows XP Service 3 Office: Professional Plus Bit= 32 Bit Yes when I failed I reinstalled office again. First I tried as RL licence then Volume. Please tell me what to do now. It will be great favor for me.
Use the Office Uninstaller for Office 2010, then reinstall VL Office 2010 after a reboot. Then see if EZ-Activator works.
Let me tell you, what I have to do. 1. Uninstall Office 2. Reboot PC 3. Install Office 4. Open Office 2010 Toolkit 5. In license management tab, I have to install license as a volume 6. Click Ez-Activator 7. Restart PC Am I right to follow process?
No. 1. Uninstall Office 2. Use Office Toolkit 2.0 Final Uninstall for Office 2010 (A script to cleanup will run) 3. Reboot 4. Install Office (Preferably VL But Retail is OK) 5. Run EZ-Activator (If You Installed Retail In Step 3 It Should Convert Automatically) 6. Hope for success as last time something went wrong and I'm not yet sure why.
Hey CODYQX4, what an amazing tool you have created. It worked very smoothly for me but I don't understand much about this activation business. Is there any way to print/copy the Readme page? I'd like to study this and make some notes in it so I can understand things a bit better and remember what to do in future.
No but I've thought about adding a copy to clipboard button as I am busy now and don't really feel like posting it. Still though you should be able to just use EZ-Activator and be OK (I recommend letting it install AutoKMS, as that will remove the need to do anything after EZ-Activator success).
When installing, on Windows XP Home SP3, Office 2010 Professional Plus VL 32 bit and wanting to use the new Office 2010 Toolkit 2.0 to activate it, what is the proper procedure to do this? THANKS BYE
Hi, I have a question as to how to activate my trial of Word 2010 using this toolkit. I've turned off my AV but now the only problem I'm getting when I try to use the EZ Activator is, "access to .....Keygen.exe is denied" I'm not sure what to do here and I;ve tried reading through this post (probably not hard enough I guess) but I'm just getting confused. I am running Win 7 64bit using Word 2010 32bit. If anyone can tell me what I need to do that'd be great.
I tried my best but failed so I reinstalled windows and installed then activated it, it worked after that I Installed antivirus. Now when I open my PC I see a virus warning. Image is shown bellow. Image is shown at cttsol dot com/solutions/virus.JPG Should I remove this files?
Replaced link as they totally took it down. Wish I could get a permanent host link... And to the above 3 posts @balubeto Just run the EZ-Activator @TA814 first try using Toolkit 2.0 final as we added code to make this error less likely (still possible). Its an intermittent IO error, so you could just try again later. @zahoorsolangi Any sort of virus warning you get with this is fake, and should be ignored, and add the files in question to AV exclusions. As long as you DL'd from this topic I can ensure there are no viruses.
