Sorry, but it was a reasonable question and didn't deserve your response, which no reasonable person would give. I'm hardly "friggen lazy" and I'll make the reasonable assumption that you aren't either. The Trojan.ADH signature Norton reports is from both kmsemulator.exe and "autokms.exe" , not a "kms keygen" and without any evidence in the "readme" file as suggested I should check, and without any evidence to the "9000" attempts to explain why this really isn't a virus or a trojan, just something harmless, it is reasonable to assume that, along with the hard work that went into developing this tool, something else is there that could cause a problem. If no one else here has seen one instance of any virus or trojan flag on the V2 toolkit, my apologies - perhaps my 2009 and 2010 Norton Internet Security and 2010 Kaspersky Internet Security programs are flawed in their detection methods.
Perhaps you need something that can change those permissions (may be able to do it with REGEDIT). Since your install got messed up and those keys have bad permissions, that's probably why reinstall failed.
Cody I tried to alter the permissions by giving admin and users full rights and that didn't work and it still did not allow for deletion. The funny thing is on another system I uninstalled the beta without your tool and then deleted those reg entries and it worked fine?! So its so weird that the program might have done something to prevent it. Do you think I will be able to install another release, like you mentioned in the other thread the Retail office 2010 pro plus?
As long as you can sufficiently cleanup your system to eliminate any office conflicts, you should be able to reinstall. Nothing in the toolkit would set those registry keys with bad permissions, so it could have occured during the botched install. Perhaps you could ask elsewhere, but there should be ways and means to delete even some of the most stubborn reg keys (with few exceptions). You could try the uninstaller one more time and reboot. Also more than just office could be in that key (like office addons from some apps) so you might not want/need to totally erase it.
Yes thanks that makes sense. My thinking is that if your installing a trial it won't go through because of that reg entry but if you install the retail from direct river links then it won't mind the entry because its retail and figures whether or not a trial was there before doesn't matter because the person is installing the full version now. I tried some other methods like revo uninstaller and ccleaner but nothing seems to kill that entry no matter what I do in terms of permissions or safe mode, its weird. Anyway thanks for your help.
Problem solved! Thanks Cody! I installed the digital river retail version then used your tools and it worked perfectly! Finally.
Failed to start KMSEmulator.exe hi after a ridiculous amount of time playing around to try and get this to work I'm stuck at this: Getting Office Configuration Information. --------------------------------------- Backing Up License Info In Case Of Failure. --------------------------------------- Changing any Unactivated MAK Keys to KMS Keys. --------------------------------------- If You Have Starter Subscription It Will Now Use Permanently Activated Key. --------------------------------------- Converting Unactivated, Trial, Or Subscription Retail Versions of Office Into VL. --------------------------------------- Removing Any Unactivated Retail Keys Left Installed After Conversion To VL. --------------------------------------- Attempting To Activate Office 2010 KMS Products. --------------------------------------- EZ-Activator Failed! Here is a more detailed description about the error: Failed to start KMSEmulator.exe I have sophos installed which I killed through processes when running (because it was blocking keygen.exe) so I'm confused about why this isn't working? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. EDIT: Also I am running Windows7 x64
The failure of KMSEmulator.exe to start suggests AV interference (that killed and deleted it). Add it to exclusions or something (All AV should have exclusions somewhere).
Hey Cody mine is working but just so my AV doesn't block KMS in the future where is the KMSemulator installed? I tried to search for it but could not find it.
C:\Windows\KMSEmulator.exe ITs not always there because default toolkit settings delete it after use.
If, on Windows 7, I'll update, through Windows Update, the Office 2010 Professional Plus VL activated with Office 2010 Toolkit 2.0, I still do care for the OGA to suppress the notification icon on the genuine Office or not? If so, can someone give me an effective cure for the OGA? THANKS BYE
Currently OGA does not work on Office 2010 and I would not install it when it comes out as it can only harm you.
Click on the Strat orb, paste "MsiExec.exe /X{B2544A03-10D0-4E5E-BA69-0362FFC20D18}" (without the quotes) in the run/search field and press enter. OGA will be removed and u will happy....... as OGA has nothing to do with Office 2010, as CODY said.....
--------------------------------------- Activating OfficeProPlus-KMS_Client <Product activation failed> --------------------------------------- - This doesn't work anymore i try every single method and it just won't work. =( maybe the keys are all reached to limit or blacklisted? - CODYQX4? can you please fix this? =( i really need MS office for school - your the best <3
Could you give more details about the error? We're not diviners As for a geneirc solution, use the "Remove all" from the "License Management", then add a Volume Pro Plus License, and then use the EZ activator again. If that doesn't solve the problem, you can give us more information to work with
Better he just use EZ-Activator as it will do all that, and assuming he hasn't converted/ran EZ-Activator already, it looks like his office is naturally VL so no need for license add. I always recommend the EZ-activator as it will do all that by default, so pretty much anything we used to ask is done and we see its results.
Btw.. how's the Restore function working in your tool?Is it perfect? Will it restore a MAK licence successfully,as I can't test it now, since none of the leaked MAK Keys have remaining activation count!!
