Hi, thanks for the toolkit worked fine on one PC but another one had AVG loaded and it highlighted KMSEmulator.exe as a trojan horse.
Is it as simply as disabling the AVG software and then running the toolkit? Probably more complicated than that I guess?

Yes just disable AVG then run the toolkit. IF it fails to activate then repost here what message you received.

What anti virus you using? More then likely your AV is blocking it.

I disabled my antivirus....I made some new effords and the news are that when i run the Office 2010 Toolkit [EZ-Activator button] it ends with "Office 2010 was succesfully activated.", but when I go to Activation tools tab and press "check" button the final answer is "REMAINING GRACE: 0 days (0 minute(s) before expiring)"...and of coarse when i open an office program it starts in compability mode and in the red header is written that "product activation failed"...

Yeah same difference. There has been issues with using the toolkit when you had a previous install on there. So even though you uninstalled there is a good chance there is some leftover reg entries that could be causing 2010 to not activate, or corrupted files. Did you use the M$ tool to uninstall 2007?

Go back one page and try what musikid did.

Ok, go back one page and try what musikid did, if that does not work then i suggest you wait on a response from Bosh or Cody as they would have a better idea on how to help you.

hello! not sure if you know or not but someone is a bit less-than-happy with your activator, i can't post the link as this is my first post on this site, but if you like, i'm sure i can pm it to you.

i unfortunately was an idiot and allowed avg to kill autokms.exe after reading the article (against my better judgment, mind you). after finding this thread, i realized my error but it was already too late...
this may seem like a dumb question, but am i going to have to reinstall, or will my office suite continue to work as wonderfully as it has been?

    thanks in advance!

Run the toolkit and hit the "Check Status" button on the second tab i think and if it say's licensed, and gives you a remaining day's left then all you have to do is reactivate before the time is up.

If it's still shows 30 days or w/e then you need to safelist the AutoKMS and or kill AVG before you try the "Ez-Install".

Yeah sometimes previous versions can stick like glue. I had the TP installed and eventually all that worked was a format. Good luck.:(

    Hi,
I've used the tool successfully but it has a scheduled task to run at every boot, it does some things that take quite some hdd activity.
Sorry for my noobness but if this tool activates MSO for 180 days, will it be ok if I'll schedule it to run every 179 days or so and not daily to prevent all that hdd activity at startup?
Thanks for a possible answer and for making such a great program!!

    Thanksgiving, Bug-report & suggestion

Hi Cody, firstly thanks to you, Bosh and your fellow co-authors for such an awesome, hassle-free activation program. Works like a charm on my Pro-Plus. :)

Just a suggestion though. Maybe you can include an one-time option during installation as to whether the user wants to repeat the task on every boot or every 1-179 days. Would save some users the hassle of having to go through changing the whole scheduled task process manually after installation.

Also, is this a bug? - When you check product keys, once you've already checked one, you have to re-start the application to check the next one, otherwise you get an error message. I'm sure you can check keys of different Office components without having to restart the application everytime.

    Thanks again :worthy:
