You need an volume edition. I think cody's toolkit converts retail to volume then just use EZ-activator or maybe it does it automatically.
In that case could you point me in the right direction to download Microsoft Office along with how to activate it using the activator? Thanks a lot and Happy Holidays
I think cody got it set up to convert then activate so just click EZ-activator it will take some time I believe
Alright, so I installed Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 from my retail disc offline and used the Activator offline as well. I was just wondering if there is any risk in doing so since I used my actual retail key that I bought for installation. I saw the activator say removing any retail keys but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks a lot. This site has been amazing to me
Yes it's for sure once its converted to VL with the EZ Activator the retail key would never work in it anyway and the kms activator would be unable to activate it. Thats why it removes the retail key so your safe you only enter the key to install it. If your still worried just download this free key viewer tool ( hxxp://XXX.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html ) it will tell you what keys are installed and office will not be in the list unless you have a true retail version installed and activated with a valid serial.
@YangerD converter turns H&S to Pro Plus VL since there is no VL H&S. You do need to get H&S installed which requires a key on install but it converts. I remove the keys so you don't see retail activation nags/status and it doesn't become dual channel (VL+Retail keys installed). Just install it and run EZ-Activator but you may as well DL Pro Plus VL if you don't have 2010 installed yet so conversion gets skipped.
Thanks for the clarification. I installed H&S with the optional Trial for Professional. I then ran EZ-Activator and I now have Office Professional now. All I really need are Word, Powerpoint and Excel anyway so there really is no need for Professional Plus programs. Thanks a lot for your Activator. I really appreciate it! Hope you having a great holiday season.
Hi I just used this and my Office is activated, but just to verify, does this automatically check whether I need to update it again so I never have to run the program again myself? And I read in the readme that it's a scheduled task. Does that mean this program/process never runs until 180 days have passed and it'll run once when the comp is turned on and it'll stop once activated till the next set of 180 days? I'm just wondering if this means I can just forget about activating office and it'll do everything itself without hogging resources. Thanks.
The EZ-activator install the autoKMS which does task to activate at boot or evey so often I believe. If you just activated regularily then use the button install autoKMS Cody also has a good solution that just rearms office as well but it's not so popular yet
Btw, is this "KMSEmulator.exe"? MSE is detecting it as a keygen. I'm not sure if it's from this toolkit or another one I dloaded before.
The "Office 2010 Activation and Conversion Kit 1.6" by Raz0r. I didn't need to install it, it was an application. Can anyone confirm whether or not the "KMSEmulator.exe" is cody's so I can get rid of a potential keygen?
